"Dad... it looks like a brick wall" "Well it is a brick wall" Patrick smirked, "but it's magic... just like I told you" "I'm worried that it won't let me through" "Course it will but look... how about we go through together"
Young Blue nodded before taking his fathers hand in his, "Meet you there?" Patrick turned to Amelia who nodded, she had Liliana by her side who seemed amazed by everything around her.
"Come on then Blue" Patrick smiled as he placed his hands onto the trolley. The two of them started briskly walking to the divide in platforms nine and ten. Blue clamped his eyes shut as they effortlessly glided through onto platform nine and three quarters.
"See I told you it was magic" Patrick beamed. The train was already waiting there, gleaming a beautiful red as usual. "Dad can't you get the train with me?" Blue asked nervously.
"No I can't Blue" "But you're a teacher... you have to get the the school somehow" Blue frowned.
"I'll apperate later... I wish I could go on the train but I'm too boring now" he laughed, "I can't wait for you to teach me" the boy beamed.
"Remember I won't until you're in third year, you can't take care of magical creatures until then" "Yeah I know... is Hogwarts as good as you said it was?" Asked the boy, "Better" Patrick smiled.
Amelia and Liliana had made their way through onto the platform and the young girl gasped at the sight of the steam train. Lili was two years younger than Blue making her only nine. Patrick had adopted them just like he and Percy had planned.
"I don't want to go on the train alone" Blue sighed, "You won't have to" Patrick replied, "Ally and Theo are starting this year so we'll find them"
Alicia and Theodore Weasley were the children of George and Elle Weasley. Patrick had stayed friends with the prior Gryffindor's meaning that their kids had become friends too.
They walked over the platform to see Lee and Anna standing there. "What are you two doing here?" Patrick smirked as he walked over, "Wanted to wish Blue good luck of course and the kids wanted to see the train" Anna rolled her eyes.
Ash and Savannah stood beside their parents but their eyes lit up upon seeing their friends Blue and Liliana. Ash was the same age as Lili while Savannah was three years younger. Lee lifted up the young girl and placed her on his shoulders so that she could get a better look at the train.
"How's the auror work going?" Amelia asked Anna who grinned, "Really well... of course there's not as much going on as their used to be but I'd say that's a good thing" "Always the optimist" Patrick laughed, "you haven't see Elle have you, Blue doesn't want to get on the train by himself.
"She was over there last time I saw" Anna smiled, Patrick nodded before he and Amelia worked their way through the crowds of kids and parents. Eventually they spotted Elle and George standing by their twins who had the same dark curly hair as their mother.
"Patrick... Amelia" Elle grinned, "oh of course Blue's starting too" The young boy moved over to the twins as they began taking excitedly about Hogwarts. "So you don't take the train down?" Asked George in curiosity.
"Nah... truthfully the long journey bores me" he muttered, "I'll apperate later" "Must be weird working at Hogwarts" Elle frowned, "after being a student there for so long"
"Is that a dig at me for doing an extra year?" The blonde laughed, "Course not" Elle winked, "It is a bit weird but I love it" Patrick smiled, "obviously it'll be easier when Liliana goes there too"
"So what does Hagrid do now you're the teacher?" Asked George, "He's retried" explained Patrick, "though he's still games keeper so you see a lot of him"
"And I'm presuming that McGonagall makes an amazing head teacher" Elle grinned, "Oh the best" Patrick smiled, "she's thinking of retiring soon too but I think Athena Sinistra is keen for the job" "Well she's head of Ravenclaw house now isn't she?"
"Yeah Flitwick still pops in everyone once in a while but he's off exploring the world I think" "Sounds fitting" George grinned, "you three should be getting on the train now"
The twins and Blue nodded before hugging their parents goodbye. "What if I'm not in Ravenclaw dad?" Asked Blue.
"Blue, it doesn't matter what house you get... whatever you are I'll be so proud ok?" "Ok" Blue replied with a smile.
Blue may be worried about the sorting ceremony but Patrick knew that his son would be in Ravenclaw, he would place money on it if he could.
Anna and Lee made their way over to stand next to them as the kids boarded the train. "I'm glad we get another couple of years before we have to do this" Lee laughed, "I don't know how I'll see them off"
"Pat'll watch over them" Anna smiled, "Course I will" the blonde laughed.
Steam billowed out of the train as it moved into action. Blue, Theo and Ally were waving enthusiastically out of the window and the group waved back.
Patrick turned his head to watch the train go and he swore he saw a figure standing on the platform, it was a figure he saw a lot.
The figure of Percy Weasley. Of course he wasn't really there but Patrick always saw him wherever he went.
