Jannat: Siddharth chill na!
Siddharth looked at her worriedly while Anushka asked her:
Anushka: Why didn't you tell me about any of this? I literally live two doors away from you bro
Jannat: Well I would have but you were busy doing assignments yesterday remember?
Sidd: That is still no excuse miss! You need to ask for help whenever you need it.
Jannat rolled her eyes at him as he continued with his lecture on how she never tells Siddharth anything and how she always thinks she can do everything by herself and blah blah blah.
Jannat(whispering to Avneet): He just went full on Mumma mode. This could be a loooooong while.
Avneet and Anushka giggled while Siddharth continued not even stopping to take a breath.
Sidd: Wait wait wait. Have you eaten anything at all?
Jannat nods in a No while Siddharth's jaw dropped.
Sidd: Tune kal se kuch nahin khaya hai?!
Jannat: Haan obvi, I can't just go to the canteen limping with this kind of a pain. But but but I twisted my leg after I was coming back from the canteen after having dinner yesterday. I went straight to my room and put some relief spray on. And then I accidentally broke my spondylitis so I had to go to the medical room to get a plaster on. I know abhi tu kahega ki tu akele chalke kaise gayi and stuff but don't worry mujhe Chris ne help kiya.
Sidd: Tu Chris se help le sakti hai par mujhe bata bhi nahin sakti ki tujhe kya hua hai? You freakin' need therapy! Anyways tum apni roommate se help nahin le sakti thi kya?
Anushka: Woh bahar haina
Sidd: So tune kal raat se kuch nahin khaya hai? Yaar mujhe koi danda do, is ladki ko main chodne nahin waala hoon. Mumma ko pata hai kya iske baare main?
Jannat gets up and walks to the other half of the room. Or should I say limps? Yeah to be precise.
Siddharth follows her: Jaan kya dhundh rahi hai yaar?
Jannat(picks up the sipper on her desk): Mil gaya. And haan, Mumma ko pata hai.
Sidd(starts yelling at her): TUNE MUMMA KO CALL KARKE BATAYA JO TUJHSE ITNA DOOR REHTI HAIN BUT TUNE EK BAAR BHI MUJHE TEXT NAHIN KIYA AND MAIN LITERALLY TERE COLLEGE MAIN REHTA HOON!
Jannat: Haan toh obvi I didn't wanna ruin your boys weekend. Plus, tu meri maa thodi hai yaar?
Sidd: YOU MAKE ME SICK
Jannat(rolling her eyes): Yeah yeah whatever. Anyway, I have a job for you.
She gives him a black marker that she picks up from the desk and goes back to sit on the bed.
Jannat(pointing towards her plaster): Likh!
Sidd(angrily): Jaan yaar!
Jannat blackmails him to write something on her plaster by keeping her crutch right behind him, prepared to hit him if he disobeys her.
Sidd(glaring at her): Kya likhun?
Jannat(smiles at him sweetly): Jo likhna hai
Sidd(writes): Jaan is the biggest dumbass in the world. I don't give a damn if you are antisocial, you are supposed to let people know if you need any help at all. There are some things that you just can't do yourself. When will you learn??? Anyway, get well soon dumbfuck. Hate you xx
Jannat(reads and looks at him): Dude I told you to write a few words, not a full fledged essay.
Siddharth ruffles her head and the cap falls off her head revealing the roots of her beautiful, long, straight, black hair. Jannat next gives the marker to Anushka after hitting Siddharth with her crutch.
Anushka(writes): I can't believe I am writing this but Sidd is right uk. We are all here for you whenever you need us, we love you, and get well soon Jaanu!
Jannat tells Avneet to write something too.
Avneet: Um, I hardly know you but sure, if it makes you happy!
She writes, "Get well soon! Can't wait to get to know you more <3"
Sidd(to Jannat): Ho gaya maate? Ab main khaana leke aaun?
Jannat nods: Yesh!
Sidd: You are sick, so ice cream?
Jannat(sipping water from her sipper): Subah subah?
Anushka: Sidd you stay here I will go get her breakfast. Waise bhi you don't know anything about her (smirks). And Avneet tum bhi chalo yaar. You would be hungry by now. Aur Siddharth tum kuch khaoge?
Sidd(shakes his head violently): Anushka get lost
Jannat laughs while looking at her plaster. Anushka and Avneet leave the room while Siddharth stays back and lectures her again.
Jannat: Siddharth yaar stop it no! I already listened to two doses of lecture from both mummas. I cannot listen to you too now.
Sidd: Meri maa ko bhi pata hai?
Jannat(nods her head).
Siddharth goes near her and sits on the bed beside her. Jannat has her plastered leg on top of her second leg. Siddharth tilts his head on to Jannat's head while touching her plastered leg.
Sidd: Aage se aisa kuch bhi hoga toh tum kya karogi?
Jannat(laughs): Call you, beep you, text you, and irritate you
Sidd: Pakka karogi?
Jannat: Pakka!
Sidd: Lock kiya jaaye?
Jannat: Lock it!
Jannat then asks him about his boys weekend. He had gone for a long drive with his guy friends and really enjoyed himself. They all returned back at about 12 in the morning.
Sidd(complaining): And guess what? I returned back just to see my Jaan in this state.
Jannat: Yaar bas ab bohoth daat laga di.
Avneet's POV: My first impression? I don't really know. Siddharth at first seemed like an absolute happy go lucky guy. But oh my goodness, you should see the care and worry he had in his eyes when he first saw Jannat limping like that. Jannat seemed real amazing to me cuz she was very chill even though she got her leg fractured. The way she tricked Siddharth into turning him to a mom was so funny. Anushka as expected was worried about her but not more than Siddharth of course. We reached the canteen which seemed huge to me. There were students chatting while digging into their food literally everywhere. I even saw that jerk Rohan from before. Luckily, he didn't spot me. Anushka ordered 3 plates of toast and asked me what I would like to have. I skimmed through the menu board hanging on the wall and decided to order rice. What? I was super hungry. I needed some energy to get through the day. I wonder what awaits me next.
