Chapter - 24 Isn't he adorable?

Sidd: Somebody get me a broom

Jannat(turns back to look at him): Why do you want a broom?

Sidd: To hit him with it

Jannat: That is soooo mean

Sidd: He can't just play with my baby's feelings like this

Jannat: Aw that's so sweet. But hey, its her choice and maybe he asked her to hang out for a while. I mean, you need your best friend when you have to go through heart break. He needs her. 

Sidd: Ugh fine whatever

Jannat's POV: That was sooo damn sweet. He genuinely cared for her and I'm so touched. From complaining about her to trying to protect her, they have come a long way. Anyway, I realised after a while that I had lost Siddharth in the crowd. I had no idea where he was. Ugh why are there so many people here. I went back to one one of the far corners and sat down on one of the seats in the auditorium. Luckily, there was no one there. I was going through some texts when I saw Siddharth kneeling down in front of me. Without speaking anything, he gently took my feet and strapped my black coloured heels to them. Oh yay, he found my heels! Aw what a gentleman. And then he joined me, sitting down on the seat next to me. He pulled out his phone and started scrolling through Insta too. After a while, one of my favourite songs came on. And when it was playing, I was humming along. Siddharth turned to smile at me and shouted LOUDER. We jammed to the song 'truthfully' together in the most wholesome way possible. It was as if everbody was down there doing their own thing, and we were up here jamming in our own party. At that moment, that was all that mattered to me. 

Jannat: Seriously, Siddharth why did you sign me up for the singing competition? I'm so annoyed.

Sidd: Hey, I have faith in you. You are an amazing singer. You can do it, don't worry

Jannat: But I don't want to

Sidd(smirks): When we were little, you wanted to become a rockstar 

Jannat: Dude I was like what? 7 at that time

Sidd: Yes you were. And there is no harm in showing your talent in front of a few people. Come on Jaan, you can't be that selfish

Jannat: You are annoying

Sidd(shrugs): I can be anything if it helps you out 

Jannat: By the way when's the competition? 

Sidd: Oh there's an audition first

Jannat: Okay, I definitely did not sign up for this

Sidd: Oh come on, it would be like a trial session for you

Jannat: When is it?

Sidd(in a low voice): Tomorrow

Jannat(yells): TOMORROW?! I don't even know what to sing! You're telling me this now?

Sidd: Uh yes I am. You can just sing some random song. Its not like its a big concert or something

Jannat: Ugh I hate you

Sidd: But I don't

Jannat: Now I need the broom sigh

Sidd(laughs): I'm gonna have to run away then

Jannat: What should I sing tomorrow

Sidd: One of your favoruite songs? Ooh what about "this is the life"?

Jannat: Will that do?

Sidd: Duh. Alright stop racking your brains so much. Come on, let's go down

He took my hand and dragged me down where everyone else was there. He placed my hand on his shoulder and we started doing the couple dance. Ew I hate this. There are so many people around me. And on top of that, this dance is cringe. After like a moment or two, I looked at Siddharth. He was staring at me blankly. 

Sidd(with a puppy face): I know you think this is cringe. But you can do this for me right?

Jannat(smiles): Absolutely 

We danced for a little more while before we decided to go back. Those few moments with him during the dance were something that cannot be explained. The fact that he literally did not take his smile off for even a second during the entire dance touched my heart. I was happy that I was the reason of that smile. The cutest smile. After I danced with him, Siddharth pushed Riyaz away from Anushka and stole her for a quick dance as he was the one who brought her here. Riyaz was laughing at his antics with me. We even did a cute little photoshoot with everyone. I did not feel like having dinner becuz honestly, I had eaten only a few hours back. So I stayed back at my room while everyone else went to have dinner after changing back into normal clothes. Sidd tried to drag me along but I strictly said no. He left without further complaints. After settling on my bed, I opened Instagram and saw Siddharth's story first on the story list again. Oh hey, he had changed his profile. It was a picture of me, Anushka and Siddharth looking all fancy like we had gone to some kind of an evening ball, that was taken just a few minutes ago. Isn't he adorable?
