Chapter - 22 Comfort zones

Sidd's POV: I looked up to see Jaan in a sapphire blue dress. That colour literally looked so gorgeous on her. That freaking sight was heavenly. She had let her hair open and that added charm of course. Dude, I'm not even kidding, but my adrenaline was super high. Why? I have no idea I guess. Her eyes were darkened with kohl and she was giving Anushka the most beautiful smile. 

Jannat's POV: Just when I had finished getting ready, Anushka's phone started ringing. I looked around the room but she was nowhere to be seen. I took her phone and went to the doorway when I saw her back facing me. I went out and gave her the phone after already sliding the accept button and smiled at her as she talked to her mom. She turned and headed back into the room for getting better signal. And I was about to follow her back in, but that's when it struck me. There was somebody outside. I turned back to see Siddharth down on one knee. He looked dapper in his black suit. Huh, girls must have definitely drooled. And that's when I noticed his face. I met his caramel brown eyes and saw them staring back up at me. He did not take his eyes off of me for like even a second. To add idiocy, you should have seen his face. He was smiling at me like a dork. But hey, it was the cutest smile I knew. I waved my hand in front of his face and he snapped back to reality within an instant. 

Sidd: Whoaaaaaa, you look so gorgeous, Jaan

Jannat(shrugs): Thanks dude. Wish I could say the same about you.

Sidd: Yes, just turn into Anushka 2.0. That's all I need.

Jannat(laughs): I'm obviously kidding. I mean, look at you! You look like a hunk

Sidd(smiles and extends his hand forward): Alright, now that I have m'lady's compliment, would you like to go to the dance with me?

Jannat(smiles): Mmhm, absolutely 

Sidd's POV: I got back up to stand from my previous position and looked at Jaan as she kept her gentle hand on mine softly. And unknowingly, I was smiling. Anushka came out soon and started eeking. God, this girl shouts so much. 

Anushka: YOU GUYS LOOK ADORBS!!! PICTURE TIME PWEASE 

Sidd(taking her hand in his other hand): No no no, not now. After we get back from the dance, we will do whatever you want us to do.

Anushka: Ugh fine

I had my two ladies beside me. I need to pick up two more now. I'm not gonna lie but I think I'm prolly the only one who's gonna be there with 4 girls. They both stepped back as I tapped on Anushka's door. Avneet opened the door and she looked very very stunning. She was wearing a pink dress that shined. 

Avneet: Hey guys!

I did the same thing that I did for Jaan and Anushka earlier to ask her to the dance. And when I had just finished asking Avneet, Reem popped up beside her. So I extended both my hands towards each one of them and they accepted soon after. Reem was wearing a black dress, she totally slayed. You know what was the weirdest part? I got down on one knee for Anushka and Jaan becuz I wanted to. But for Reem and Avneet, it felt like I did it becuz I had to. Well, I did it anyway so what's the big deal? Wow, I literally had the most versatile colour combination all around me. There was blue, white, pink and black. How colourful is that? I escorted them to the auditorium where the dance was supposed to be held. It was decorated so wonderfully. 

Jannat's POV: I don't get it. Just yesterday, I met a creepy dude who was staring at me like there was something written on my face and he didn't take his eyes off of me for like even a second. And today, the same thing happened with me again. But this time, it was Siddharth. I felt like removing the creep's eyeballs out when he was staring at me but I felt something completely different when it was Siddharth. I guess it's all about comfort. As soon as we entered the auditorium, light music filled my ears. There were surprisingly a lot of people there so I was obviously planning on running away. I can't believe I wasted about an hour getting ready for something that I was running away from. Ugh. There were a few couples doing the couple dance, and the others were just randomly dancing around in groups with their friends. Just about 2 minutes later, Avneet went forward and took the hand that was held out to her, inviting her for a dance by some random dude. She left. And Reem did the same when she was called upon by a few people and a few guys too of course, I mean, she looked super hot. It was just me and my babies now. I looked to my left to see Anushka staring at her phone screen. I think she was taking pictures. And then I turned to search for Siddharth and I found him talking to his boy gang. PERFECT! I could run away from here and nobody would even know. I quietly made my way out to the front door but as soon as I opened it, something tugged on me. A hand was pulling my hand.
