Chapter - 28 Secret's out

Siddharth's POV: Saturday night. I should be partying and stuff but I'm working on my baby. My robot. I wanted to do something like this all my life honestly. I'm so happy that I was finally getting to do it. I was patiently working for about 1 and a half hour or something and then I decided to take a break. I scrolled through my phone for a while and right when I was doing so, Riyaz entered the room. 

Riyaz: Hi bro

Sidd: Hey, sup

Riyaz: Nm

And then he walked to his wardrobe, picked up a few clothes and went into the restroom. Okay maybe he's going out. Seems fun. He came out soon enough wearing a shirt that was tucked inside his black jeans. He even sprayed some perfume before picking up his phone from his bed. 

Sidd: Hey where are you going?

Riyaz: Oh, I have my date now

I thought I hadn't heard what he had just said properly. I stared at him blankly. 

Sidd: A date? Wow. With whom?

Riyaz(clueless): Wait what? She didn't tell you?

Sidd(sitting up straight): Who's "she"?

Riyaz: Anushka 

Sidd: WHAT 

Okay there has to be a mistake somewhere here. Right? My ears are acting up against me. 

Sidd: Back up, did you just say Anushka?

Riyaz(shrugs): Um yes, I thought she had told you everything since y'all hang out all the time

Sidd: Bro what even? When did all of this even happen?

Riyaz: Yesterday. I asked her out after dinner and she said yes.

Sidd: Don't you think you're moving on too fast?

Riyaz: Well...

He was about to reply when there was a knock on the door. Riyaz went ahead and opened it and I saw Anushka in a dress. She looked pretty. Wait what am I even thinking? This isn't important right now. She asked him if he was ready to go. He said almost and stepped aside to let her in and she came in to see me. Her face displayed too much shock when she saw me. I'm pretty sure she even whispered to Riyaz what I was doing there. First she didn't tell me about her date and now she's shocked by seeing me in my own room. Wow. Unbelievable.

Anushka(uncomfortably): Hey Sidd. 

I didn't reply cuz I was still processing what just happened. She noticed my robot and asked me what I was doing with trash. Excuse me?! Are you kidding me?! She called my baby trash! Ugh what a jerk. She didn't need to make small talk for no reason.

Sidd(stands up from his seat angrily): Don't dare to talk shit about my robot. And why didn't you tell me that you were going out with him now?

Anushka: I.. I would have but-

Sidd: I can't believe you didn't tell us about this. This is unbelievable. 

In a fit of anger I left the room and slammed the door shut behind me as I left. I walked all the way to the other end of the campus to the girls' dorm. I entered Jaan's room without even knocking and she was obviously surprised. 

Jannat: Are you okay? You look... angry?

Sidd: Oh I am angry all right. Do you know what Anushka did?

Jannat: Um no? What happened to her?

Sidd: She is "dating" Riyaz now!!!

Jannat: Wait what? I'm sorry, did you just say Riyaz? 

Sidd: Mmhm

Jannat: When did this happen?

Sidd: Yesterday after dinner

Jannat: Whoa this is huge

Sidd: In a good way or a bad way?

Jannat: She's dating her crush, I'm obviously happy for her. 

Sidd: Jaan yaar, this isn't about all that. She didn't even tell us.

Jannat(smiles): Are you sure that's your problem?

Sidd: Oh and she even talked smack about my robot

Jannat: God, Siddharth. This isn't about your robot. Wait a minute, I get it. You are upset becuz she agreed to date him despite knowing that he had a crush on someone else. But dude, I mean, he's obviously over Zahira after she stood him up. Maybe he realised his feelings for Anushka?

Sidd: But what if he's just using her becuz he couldn't get Zahira? What if he's just doing all this to make Zahira realise that he can get a girlfriend too? You know, like show off of some kind. Though I know him, he's a good guy. But I don't know Jaan. Maybe he doesn't care about Anushka's feelings at all. 

Jannat's POV: When he said those words, I genuinely smiled without even knowing about it. He was such a genuine person. He cares for her. That's the sweetest thing ever. 

Jannat: Well, this is your perspective. Now let's take a look at her perspective. She is able to date a person on whom she's had like the biggest crush. 

Sidd: I have a feeling that she might get her feelings hurt in the process. I can't see you both sad.

Jannat(putting an arm around his shoulder): Aren't you the sweetest thing ever? Well, Siddharth, maybe this is a test for Anushka to realise what to do and what not to do. Trust me, everything will work out well. Atleast now you know why she didn't tell us. She didn't want us to freak out like this. Especially after all the saving and the crying and the broken heart. It's going to be fine, don't worry

Siddharth's POV: Saying that, she left the room. She prolly went to meet Anushka to tell her how happy she was about everything. Doesn't it hurt when your best friend doesn't tell you stuff despite knowing that you were involved in the issue? Yup, same feelings here.
