Jannat: Siddharth..
Anushka(gets up and removes her hands from Siddharth's hands): I'm gonna leave you guys alone
She walks to the other corner of the garden and talks to some of her friends who were already there beforehand.
Siddharth gets up and turns to face Jannat with a blank look on his face.
Jannat: Remember that time when I said I was sorry?
Siddharth(smiles): When was that?
Jannat(making an annoyed face): You forgot
Siddharth: Okay-
Jannat: Alright, fine, I'm sorry. Did we refresh your memory now?
Siddharth(chuckles): It's okay
Jannat: No but jokes apart, I really am sorry. I shouldn't have thought that you would do something like this. I hope you can forgive me.
Siddharth: Hey, its fine. Everybody makes mistakes and it's not your fault that you didn't check my text. Actually, no wait, that is your fault. But I do forgive you, alright?
Jannat(smiles): Can I, um, hug you?
Siddharth: No
Jannat(narrows her eyes): Why not, meanie?
Siddharth(winks): Becuz my Jaan would never ask me if she could hug me, she already knows I'm hers
Jannat moves forward to hug him and he reciprocates soon after. About a fraction of a second later, he calls out to Anushka loudly asking her to join the hug.
Anushka hugs Siddharth from his left and Jaan is already hanging on to him from his right.
Anushka: Aw my babies are back!
Siddharth: Okay, that's it, we are done with the physical contact.
Breaking the hug, Jannat speaks up.
Jannat: Siddharth? Seriously, no hard feelings right? We are really sorry again. We can promise you that we will try our level best to not accuse you of anything after knowing half of the story.
Anushka: And we want you to know that we love you.
Jannat: So much
Siddharth(smiles bright): That's all I needed to hear. I promise, no hard feelings. Okay, come on, let's go to the canteen, I'm hungry.
They all turn to leave when Siddharth stops them in the middle.
Siddharth: Guys, we are still on for the dance, right?
Jannat: This time, even if you say no, we won't leave your side
Anushka(points to Jannat): Exactly what she said
Siddharth(puts his arms around their shoulders): And now, my clingy babies are back
They leave the place just to bump into Riyaz.
Riyaz: Ayyyoo, the golden trio is back! Are y'all fine now?
Siddharth quickly takes Anushka's hand and steps in front of her, hiding her behind him.
Siddharth: Yeah, we are back
Riyaz(notices Siddharth's movement): What did you just do?
Jannat(covering up for him): Um, nothing?
Riyaz: Dude, why are you hiding Anushka behind you?
Siddharth's POV: She is still not over you, idiot. Seeing you again and again makes her heart go brrr.
Siddharth: I'm not hiding her. Why the heck would I hide her?
Anushka(steps in front and points to where she was standing earlier): I just dropped an earring.
Riyaz: Okaaayyyy? Anyway, I gotta go guys, I'll catch you later. See ya!
Siddharth: Bye dude
After he leaves, Siddharth and Jannat turn to Anushka.
Jannat: Are you okay?
Anushka: Wow, the things you do to save your best friend's heart. Thank you, I'm fine.
Jannat laughs and Siddharth joins in.
