Anushka's POV: I sat up straight after wiping off my tears. My eyes were glassy, I could feel it. Siddharth took my hand in his protectively and he nodded at me. I looked at Riyaz and blurted out everything that was in my heart. I have no idea what his exact reactions were becuz I couldn't see properly(my eyes were filled with tears). After I finished saying everything,
Sidd: She's been stifling all this inside of her for a long time now. She even knows about Zahira.
Riyaz: Goodness, I feel so bad. Well, now it makes sense why you didn't wanna see me. Look, Anushka, I'm really sorry. About everything. I know its hard, but I feel horrible that I can't do anything about it. Are you gonna be okay?
Anushka(looking at Siddharth): Now that everything's out in the open, I feel much better
Siddharth smiles.
Riyaz: Alright, so here's the deal, I won't run away from you just becuz you have a crush on me or something. I'm not gonna stop you, so you can take your time. So I want you to know that if you still wanna be friends with me, I'm open to the idea. And if you wanna like let go, I'm fine with that too. It's all up to you. Take your time. I'm here for you.
Sidd: And so am I
Riyaz gets up and throws his arms open. Anushka gets up and hugs him smilingly.
Sidd: Alright guys, Imma head to the canteen now. Jaan is waiting for me. I forgot yes. She's gonna kill me now.
Anushka's POV: I waved at Riyaz and walked out of the room following Sidd. My heart hurt yes but now atleast I knew why I liked him. He cares. He said it didn't matter even if I wanted to be friends and still crush on him. I obviously don't wanna make it awkward. He's such a gem. I was stuck between two hurtful choices here and I had no idea what to do. Without even realising where I was walking towards, I saw that I had reached the canteen. I even saw Jaan wave at me from a distance. I walked up to them quietly. Even Avneet was there. I sat down beside her to face Siddharth in front of me. He gave me a warm smile.
Jannat: So Avneet are you gonna go to the dance tomorrow?
Avneet(biting her burger): No not really. Nobody's asked me yet and I still don't know a lot of these people.
Sidd: Hey why don't you join us?
Avneet(blankly): Us?
Sidd: Yeah, I'm taking Jaan, Anushka and Reem. Oh yeah, say hello to the ladies man
Jannat: Aka the dork
Avneet(laughs): That's very sweet of you Sidd but I don't wanna ruin your evening. Y'all have fun at the dance.
Jannat: Babe, when an antisocial person like me can go to the dance, I'm pretty sure you can join us. No ifs and buts, its gonna be a fun night and you are joining us, alright?
Avneet: Okay, now I'm scared so I'm just gonna say yes. Thanks a ton, guys
Sidd: No problemo. Anushkaaaaaaaaaaa! Eat nooooooooooo!
Anushka(jumps out of her trance): Stop shouting idiot.
Jannat hits Siddharth on the arm and gives him a questioning look while pointing towards Anushka.
Sidd(whispers to Jannat): I'll let you know later
Jannat's POV: After a while, Avneet left the table to go to the library. Siddharth told me about everything and I felt so bad seeing Anushka like that. I wish her strength. We dropped her in her room, and me and Siddharth went on a walk. It was almost 7:30. I was on my phone reading a news article on phlebotomy and Siddharth went around talking to people. That's when something hit me. Something big, bold, and muscular. I fell to the ground immediately since the weight put on me was too much for me to handle. My phone was on the ground and just beside it was another phone. I looked up to see a dude. He started yelling at me that I shouldn't walk so carelessly hurting other people, and the moment he looked up to see me, he stopped right then and there.
