Emily laid on the couch, staring at the ceiling. Nat waddled into the common area.

   "You okay?" She asked Emily.

Emily nodded.

"Stressed." Emily replied.

Nat suppressed a groan as she sat down. Emily turned her head.

"Are you okay?" She asked

"Yeah. Just really wishing Clint would have stayed home."

  "Felt." River mumbled.

"Weren't you supposed to get some box from his room?" Emily asked River

River nodded and walked down the hall. 

Emily saw Nat wince out of the corner of her eye.  She made a mental note.

They suddenly heard River scream.

River entered Bucky's room and walked over to the dresser. She grabbed the small wooden box from the dresser and sat on the bed.

She took a deep breath. What could he have possibly left for her? She opened the box quickly. The sight of the contents filled her eyes and she screamed.

Emily ran into the room with Nat behind her.

   "Everything okay?" Emily asked, seeing River just sitting on the bed.

River showed her the box.

Inside the box, small silver band rested on a black pillow with a note in front of it.

  Marry me.

"Oh my God." Emily whispered "That idiot."

River stared at the box unable to speak for a moment.

"He wants me to marry him?" She whispered

She couldn't understand. On what planet was she good enough for him?

"Looks that way." Nat said

She winced for the second time in 15 minutes. Emily's eyes were drawn to her again.

"I'm not good enough for him." River said quietly

"Bullshit." Emily snorted.

"I'm sure he thinks the same thing about himself." Nat said

  They stood talking for a few moments before Nat cried out in pain. River jumped, the box flipping closed upside down on the floor.

  "Nat?" She asked

"How long have these been happening?" Emily asked

"Since before the guys left." Nat admitted.

"Okay, I'm no expert but I'm pretty sure you're in labor." River said

Nat laughed nervously.

"No. No. I'm not due for another 2 weeks." Nat said

"That's an estimation not an exact date." Emily said as Nat nearly doubled over in pain.

"I'll get her to the hospital." River said "You call Clint."

She grabbed Nat's arm and walked her out to the car.

Emily grabbed her phone and began calling Clint.

Multiple hours later, in San Francisco:

Steve threw a HYDRA into Clint's line of sight and continued running. They were mid fight. Steve recognized an agent from the night at Camp Lehigh and ran after him.

"Steve no!"

New york:

"Come on answer." Emily muttered

"Hey. This is Clint." Clint's voicemail said "Leave a message."

"Clint. I swear to god if you don't answer your phone I'm going to kill you."

She hung up and tried Tony.

"This is Tony. Leave a message."

"One of you. ANSWER."

She tried Steve.

"Hey this is America's ass. Leave a message." Said Tony's voice followed by Steve's screaming "Stark get off my phone!"

"Steve. Answer your phone please. It's an emergency."

San Francisco:

Steve chased the agent down, tackling him.

  "Why Emily!" He screamed

The Agent, Dimitri smiled.

  "She was ours first." He growled.

"She was never yours." Steve ground out, pinning Dimitri.

"I suppose you're right." Dimitri said coldly "by the way, how's the baby?...oh. Wait."

Steve's guard dropped and Dimitri flipped him onto his back, punching.

"That's right." Dimitri spat "Schmidt killed the brat didn't she?"

A blue light shot through his chest and he fell back. Steve sat up and saw Loki.

  "The children are off limits." He growled.

Steve was breathing heavily. Loki extended a hand to him. Steve took it.

"From one father to another, I'm sorry people will use our tragedies against us." He said to Steve as he pulled him from the ground.

   
The two men walked through the now empty building. Those that weren't dead were being loaded into a plane to be taken to the floating prison.

  "You're a father?" Steve asked quietly

"I was." Loki replied "Your pain. Is my pain."

He sped up.

Suddenly, Clint, Tony and Steve's phones all rang at the same time.

Emily was using three different phones to call them.

"Hello." They said simultaneously

"Answer your phones the first time!" Emily screamed.

She was clearly frustrated.

"Is everything okay?" Clint asked

"Would I have called 16 times if it was?" She snapped "Get your ass back to new York or you're gonna miss the birth of your twins."

Tony and Clint looked at each other before racing back to the plane.

"I'm their uncle!" Tony yelled

"I'm their father." Clint shot back.

"We'll be back soon." Steve said, shaking his head. "I love you."

"I love you too." Emily sighed.
