the girl cried so hard and she was even screaming the moment she saw doc kim was readying her instruments to check her. i could feel her body was trembling and how hot she was. . she had a high fever but she still keep throwing tanturms showing us that she doesnt want to get treated.

"you'll be alright. just hold into me, princess." i made her sat beside me while her father was still on the side, holding her also. once the girl turned her back to doc kim, i signalled the doctor to start checking her while i was going to distract the kid. "shush, stop crying. ill be with you. we wont bite." i said in a more gentle way and i even showed her my sweet smiles.

she stared at me for a moment before she nodded. when doc kim started checking her, i held her hand tight so she could feel that she wasnt alone and that she wont get hurt. for sure hindi pa naman sya tuturukan nang kung ano ano and was only going to get some of her blood by this time cause the doctors would run some test to her before those happened. doc kim checked her heart beats, her eyes, ears and even her mouth.

when doc kim turned around to get another instruments for checking her, i distracted her by asking her name. "what's your name, princess?" i was still flushing those sweet smiles so she could feel that i wouldn't hurt her.

"im c-choi areum. how about you doctor?" i smiled at how cute her voice was when she was calm though she was trembling since she just cried.

"im not a doctor yet. ." i caressed her hand while the other one was holding doc kim's. "do i looked like a doctor?"

she nodded. "it suits you."

"what's your dream when you grew up?"

she pouted before she heave a sighed. "if all doctors would be as kind as you, i want to be one too."

"but you're scared of doctors. you told me they bite." her father butt in making areum glared at him. di nya napansin na kinukuhanan na sya nang dugo ni doc kim. i was relief though i could feel areum was flinching.

"b-but ouch!"

"we wont bite." i retorted fast so she wouldnt notice what doc kim was doing to her. "we wont." i smiled again and carassed her hand.

"i need to take her to the lab, alone."

aruem shook her head as soon as she heard what doc kim had said. "p-please no! i dont want!" then she started to threw her both hands harshly in the air and once she felt the stings on her right arm, she cried louder again.
