lia's smile greeted me the moment i opened the door of her room. her parents immediately made their way aside giving me some spaces for their daughter. i ran towards her as she always. . welcomed me with her wide open arms. i threw my body to her and hug her but not that thight, she would gasps some air if i did that. we hug each other a little bit longer before i was the one who freed the hug.

i missed her so much. both her and daniel.

"i missed you, kuya hanhan."

i smiled at her and ruffled her hair. "i miss you more.. by the way, i have something for you!" then i showed her the paper bags i was holding to where my gifts for her. she clapped her both hands in the air making me laughed. she was so cute when she was doing that and she looked so happy right now. . making me prayed that she's going stay like this.

inilapag ko sa tabi nya yung pink na paper bag and i slowly picked up the things inside of it while lia was watching me unboxing my gifts for her. and once the first one came out, my smiles gets wider as soon as i how her eyes widened in happiness along with her mouth left agape. i gave her the pink and fluffy teddy bear to her and she welcomed it with wide open arms like what she did to me earlier.

"kuya hanhan." she was staring at the teddy bear with a surprise look flushing through her face. she even squeezed the bear, feeling how soft it was in between her hands. "you bough it for me? its too soft kuya! i wanna hug it forever!" then she hugged and squeezed it with gritted teeth. gigil na gigil sya.

i laughed. "yup, kuya hanhan bought it for you. . and theres more!" i exclaimed and picked up the other one for her, it was a sketch pad and a complete coloring materials even the color pencils. i heard her parents gasps in surprise seeing it in front of them, "you want to be an architect right? here's the one for you." binitawan nya yung teddy bear and her eyes beamed in surprise once again after seeing what i had for her.

she slowly take it from me, still with surprise look and i laughed when i saw how she was about to cry out of happiness. if only she knew that thats all i could do to keep her. . alive and motivated. i cant save her enough and she cant transfer her pain to me so thats what im doing hoping that with these treatments, she'll realized that no one around her wanted her to leave. . wanted her to go. . wanted her to close her eyes. i know to myself that i couldnt done her much more, im not a doctor yet. . so maybe in this i could help her.

i wiped lia's tears and tell her how much i love her and how much she mean to me, she hugged me so tight while saying her thank yous to me in silent. after that, i help her to assemble her coloring pad even her materials. her mom joined us helping and playing with her. tinuro din nang mommy nya kung anong kulay yun, and i was so amused that lia knew whats the name of that specific color. this would be enough proof that she must stay and she must live. theres so much waiting for her outside. . not just staying here inside the hospital and following her regimen.

after lia played and colored her coloring pad, i helped her take her meds at ako nadin nagturok sakanya nung gamot nya using the syringe. i felt bad for her eating nothing but a healthy foods and taking her endless medicines. she fell asleep after taking her meds so i was left here with her parentsㅡor i mean, her mother alone because her father was out, buying something for their dinner later.
