i was so hesitant to enter our classroom, mostly since the classes was still ongoing and im twenty minutes late already. this was the first time that ive got to be this late for my homeroom teacher thats why the beat of my heart was in a rapid tense. . but those faded when i heard someone called me from behind and a smile crept into my face seeing sejeong, also a late comers.

she looked like she ran around kilometers just to get here and her hair was disheveled and she was even panting heavily. i had never knew that she could be this late since for the past three years, shes always that early. when she shut her eyes while catching her breathe, i immediately took my tumbler out and gave it to her. she was hesitant at it at first but i had left her no choice but to drink it.

"why are you late? and what happened to you?" she signalled me to wait for her since she was drinking the water from my tumbler. i nodded and waited for her to drink it until she was finally recovered.

she heave a sighed as she wipe her lips using the back of her palm. "hindi umuwi si mama kagabi wala tuloy akong pamasahe papunta dito." i watched her drank my water bottoms up and she even cough. i rushed through her to caress her back. "sorry, i drank all your water."

i shook my head. "its okay, i could buy bottled water naman." she nodded as he covered her mouth using her wrist to cough even more and i was caressing her back, still. she told us that she have an asthma thats why i was looking up to her too. "next time, if that situation happens, dont hesitate to call me, okay? i can drove you here with me."

"pano yun? e diba dyan lang dorm mo?"

i nodded. "but i could find some ways to help you."

we decided not to attend our first subject since it was already late and were both scared to be scolded but i had messaged sowon that sejeong and i are outside and we'll be back before the second subject.

and since sejeong's mother wasnt there with her in their house, she havent eaten any kaya nagorder ako nang pagkain para sakanya. i was so close to the thought to get her to the clinic because she couldnt stop coughing pero sabi nya ayaw daw nyang mag-stay don.

i waited for her to finish her meals while i was reading my book for the next week's topic. sejeong keeps asking me some questions why i was late too but i just told her that something happens within my friends and they needed me to stay a little bit thats why i was late, she seemed convince so i smiled at the back of my head. after sejeong had eaten her meals, she couldnt stop thanking me and told me that she'll make it up to me but i told her that it was already fine. i wanted to help her in the first place and i wasnt expecting anything in return.

we went back to our room before second subject and as usual, our three other friends rushed to us and asked us what happened at bakit kami late. i told them the same with what i had reasoned out to sejeong and sejeong told them what happened to her. i sat on my seat along with my other friends. wala naman kasing sitting arrangement kapag college so you're free to choose where to sit kaya tabi tabi talaga kaming lima.
