TAFL :: prologue

"my journey will take too much time, will you wait for me?"

i didnt bother to dart him a single glance. not because i dont want to see his reactions. . but i want him to feel that all his efforts of wanting to court me would ended up in vain. its not like i dont want to give him a chance to prove himself to me, but i just dont want him to wait for me. . to wait for nothing.

my journey as a doctor will take too much time. time was our boundaries together. i couldnt give him enough time since my studies was occupying it all. i just thought that. . courting me was worthless because  i might only give him an answer that may break his heart, big time. and i dont want to break someone's heart. . specially him who do nothing but to show his affection to me.

i stared still watching the water come and go on the seashores. it was already dark and the night breeze was warm since it was summer. the wind blows not too strong, just enough to make the both of us. . an emo.

"i dont care how long it takes. all i know you'll be worth the wait."  he sounded so confident like as if at the end of this road and this journey. . him and i will be together.

the side of my lips rose up and shook my head. "am i. . worth the wait?"  

i jerked my head to him and im seeing nothing but his handsome face. how he stood like a confident man with his both hands are in his pants pocket while staring at the ocean in front of us. when he noticed that i was staring at him, he shifted his gaze, meeting my eyes.

he nodded. "you really are."
