"yoon, take over the baby. make sure her B.P is normal."

i went closer to where doctor jung with a surgical towel on the top of both of my hands as she gave me the premature baby coming from his mothers womb then i carried the baby and placed her carefully inside the incubator as i tried to make her breathe or cry. i used an oxygen mask as the other intern had pumped it for me while i was giving the baby a soft cpr using my both point fingers to make her breathe and cry. and i thought she wouldnt cry because i was doing the cpr for about a minute already but i heave in relief once her cry surrounded the whole operating room.

doctor jung has shot me a glance then we both nodded at each other. i connected the wires from the baby's hand to monitor her heart beat, the other intern was removing the oxygen mask already so that the baby could cry and have some time to breathe. i announced the heart rate of the baby even though i know they didnt need to know it by this time since all of the best surgeons here are busy trying to operate this baby's mother.

the operation took almost seven hours before we all transferred the baby's mother to ICU then the baby inside the nursery but she still needs to be incubated since shes only seven months old. we needed to operate and take her out from her mothers womb because if we didnt, the baby would die inside the womb since her mother has a severe brain tumor and to her lungs but as far as i remember earlier, they took out all the tumors and operated them well.

"will they be fine?"

i saw how a tears escape from mr. lim as he carassed his daughters hand inside the incubator. he was also swallowing hard prolly trying to control his emotions but his tears are traitoring him well. i could see the pain into his eyes while he was staring at his precious daughter. . that reminded me of the same situations happened weeks ago and even though i dont want to see the same thing over and over, but guess that seeing people in pain would be my daily scenario that i needed to used to.

i cleared my throat. "the baby is fine already, sir and so does her mother. but we still need her to be incubated and monitor her breathings." i know how hard it was for him because for sure, he had already imagined him carrying his daughter the moment it came out to this world. "we would keep you updated about them. you can visit your wife at the ICU, just informed doctor seo. . excuse me."

he nodded to what ive said then i shot the baby a glance before i placed her charts on the table and i finally went out of the nursery to help my mother. . or i mean, doctor seo and other interns with their patients. . yes, im an intern already, first year. just graduated med school after four years last january and now taking my first year residency to be a surgeon and a fine doctor just like my mom. i was under my moms, and inside this hospital, she was my boss, calling her mom wasnt allowed though all of them knew i was the jeonghan. . who're the son of this hospitals owners.

i met with sejeong at the nurse desk checking our patients charts while arguing with aaron since i remember that they made a deal for themselves whether who would have the most patients from this day up until the weekend and mukhang hindi sila nagkakaintindihan so i just passed by them while smiling because they looked cute like a kid. yup, kasama ko padin sila except to sowon and hyunjin because that two choose to become a neuro since they said, they hate kids and they dont get along well.
