it took hours before i finally have some rest for a minute after running and roaming around the pediatric sections. jiwon and i nedded to handle some kids at the moment because mom went to the emergency room dahil may sinugod na bata dito kanina and there were no vacant nurses left so the both of us couldn't do anything but to handle some kids who needed to take their meds and kailangang icheck yung vital signs time to time.

the moment ive got to the desk on the ward, i poured full amount of cold water on my tumbler from the dispenser because i was really thristy since earlier but i never got the chance to drink even just one shot. i was busy drinking my water when jiwon signalled her hand under the table to me. i didnt get it at first but when she gestured that my phone was ringing, i immediately went to her side as she gave me space for me to able to get my phone under the table.

when i picked up my phone,my brows furrowed seeing seungcheol's name flushing on my screen. i heard jiwon chuckled thats why i jerked my head to her but she just gestured that dont mind her. i was contemplating for a moment whether to answer seungcheol or not, but the call got ended and i think it was my cue to message him and apologize to him.

to seungcheol: sorry, im kinda busy atm

i was about to place my phone back inside my bag under the table, but it vibrated means seungcheol replied that fast.

seungcheol: im here at your hospital's parking lot :) ill wait till your duty's over.

then again, i was about to reply to say that he doesnt need to wait for me but someone called me and jiwon already so i dont have a choice but to put my phone back inside my bag and went to where the nurse had told us to go. and just like earlier, both me and jiwon did the same thing we're doing since earlier. i admit that it made me tiring but whenever i was seeing kids smiling at me after they took their meds makes all those tiredness gone in no time.

indeed, kids smiling at me was my medicine.

"pagaling ka ah. take your meds everyday and keep breathing, okay?" i was smiling ear to ear to yuna the moment her mood got back before she gone took her meds.

she nodded at me, smiling. "yup, doctor. gagaling ako."

"gagaling ka."

i brushed my right hand from the top of her head up to the middle part of her hair, showing her that i was happy seeing her improvements. after checking her, i just informed her parents about her health updates and told them that if they want to ask questions, they could ask my mom about it. hindi ko kasi alam yung sakit ni yuna so i wasnt able to answer their questions at the moment. as soon as i went out of yuna's room, i saw jiwon sitting on the benches, covering her face using her both hands.
