i shook my head. "no, i clearly heard it. that baby has a murmurs im telling you."

this nurse had to held my both hands prolly blocking from touching the baby and for checking it for me to make her believe but she seemed doesnt want anyone to get into her way that she was blocking me and was pushing me away from the baby. she also keeps saying that it wasnt my patient, i was crossing the line, i dont have any authority to crossed over someones patient already and she was even talking to me in spanish which i didnt understand so i dont know if she was cursing at me already or what but i dont care.

i am a doctor, an intern, a future surgeon. . and all my responsibility was the to save lives, and this baby has to be save as soon as possible. the mumurs i had heard through his heart arent normal and it needs an immediate medical attention. call me too desparate to save other peoples lives but i did not took med school for four years just to declare something that wasnt on my vocabulary and for worst, wasnt even some kind of disease.

"doctor yoon please, leave the baby aloㅡ"

"whats going on here? doctor yoon and nurse vanessa?"

we both jerked our heads when we heard doctor gomez had entered the nursery while talking to some patients parents. i told to doctor gomez and pointed out the baby that it has a heart mumurs which made her brows furrowed but she came closer to us prolly she would going to check if the baby really has the thing i had heard earlier. doctor gomez had shot nurse vanessa a glance then she asked her how much shes sure that the baby was really healthy as it should be but the nurse didnt utter any words in the next few moments. .

but when doctor gomez was about to check the baby's heart beat, the nurse had clarified that she was sure that the baby was healthy that made me argued at mukha ko pang inutusan si doctor gomez to check the baby herself if i was lying or not. she shot me a glance first before she heave a sighed and slowly, using the stethoscope that was hanging on her neck, she started to check the baby's heart beat. . and that moment, i was sure, i was right.

"doctor yoon, this baby's now your patient." doctor gomez announced right after she checked the baby's heart beat.

"w-what?!"

"this baby's parents was in a trauma room three then page doctor morales to help you with the surgery."

i bowed to doctor gomez. "thank you, doctor."

before nurse vanessa could even complain, doctor gomez had already made her way out of the nursery as she continued to talk to that patients parents. when we were both alone once again, she gave me the most death glare i know she could ever give to someone then she walked away from me, leaving me here with the baby. i just let out a small smile and heave a sighed then i looked at the baby to checked his heart beat once again and i whispered that i will be back and he would get better anytime soon.

i went out of the nursery to went to trauma room number three to inform that baby's patient about what i found out and what doctor gomez had suggested for me to do. nung sinabi ko na sakanila, the mother couldn't help but to shed tears upon hearing what their baby's have. i dont really know why did i pursued being a doctor when i would always felt bad for myself every time i was witnessing how parents cry after knowing kung anong nangyari at anong meron sa anak nila.
