THERE WAS SILENCE.

Complete serenity. Peace.

"Come on, wake up," a voice called. "We don't have much time. Salazar, don't kick her."

Ah, well, the peace lasted a few moments.

"She's awake," a male voice called back. "I'm only going to help sit her up, Rowena, not kick her. You make one chamber that holds a monster, and everyone thinks awfully of you," he said the last part rhetorically. "Easy, Bonnie."

Bonnie's eyes fluttered open, and she saw a man to her right with his arm tightly gripping her arm to sit her up.

Bonnie scooted away when she became aware of the situation. Her head snapped to three figures standing around her. One man was leaning against the wall, a plump woman was next to him. The second woman was crouching near the man who helped her. The man had the most beautiful chesnut hair and steely blue eyes. The plump woman wore a yellow dress, her blonde hair falling down to her shoulder. The man next to her had dark hair and dark eyes that seemed to stare into her soul, and the final woman looked the most comforting with her soft blue eyes and dark waves that seemed to be endless.

"W-Who are you?"

"Have you not paid any attention in History of Magic?" the plump witch asked with a slight roll of her eyes. "Helga Hufflepuff, dearie. That's Godric Gryffindor. Rowena Ravenclaw. Salazar Slytherin. We're—"

"The founders of Hogwarts, right, yeah, sorry," Bonnie apologized, wincing at the pain in her head. She touched it lightly, hissing leaving her mouth at the touch.

Godric crouched now, extending his hand for her. Bonnie blushed because hell, all four of the founders looked young, healthy, and gorgeous. "All right?" he asked as she gently grabbed his hand to stand.

"Fine. W-What just happened? Why am I here? Where is here?" Bonnie asked, realizing her hand was still in Godric's. He let go after a moment just for Rowena to pull Bonnie in for a hug.

Salazar stood now, hands going into his pockets as his dark eyes swooped over the scene.

"We're so sorry, honey," Rowena cried lightly.

"Don't apologize," Salazar said stiffly.

Helga used her large hat to wack Salazar in the head causing Godric to snigger and Rowena to turn her head to glare at him. She pulled away, holding Bonnie at arms length.

"Why are you apologizing?" Bonnie whispered to the beautiful woman in the most gorgeous blue dress she had ever seen. It looked to be covered in real diamonds.

"It's our fault you've gone through what you have. You see, honey," Rowena paused, letting her hands fall as she let guilt cloud her features, "we sent you back in time to save our world. You've done just that."

Bonnie furrowed her brows, thinking of what she had accomplished. "I died," she said with a shake of her head, and then, her heart broke. "Sirius," she breathed.

Helga winced. "Yes, he's not doing well."

Bonnie felt herself freeze at those words, a line of tears forming. "How did I save the world? The Horcruxes are still alive, Tom's took over the Ministry—"

Godric stood next to Rowena now, smiling lightly at her as he cut her off. "We made you into a Horcrux. It took a lot of our power—combined from each of us. When the Second War ended with so much loss and suffering, we knew there had to be a way to change it. Helga came up with the idea of developing a time turner, but instead, we used a person. When you touched Harry Potter's hand, it began the process."
