SIRIUS SAT MOODILY on his bed as his mates packed for the summer. He was happy to be going back to the Potters, really, he was. Sirius was just worried about the stupid female who he hasn't spoken to in a week because of her stupid defenses against the stupid Slytherins!
He had watched her on the map quite often, the night before seeing her in Dumbledore's office for a long time. He growled out to James, Remus, and Peter his frustrations, but the twits only smirked and teased Sirius for being in love. Sirius Black was not in love! He merely cared for the stupid girl, far more than he probably should.
James sniggered as he watched Sirius flick through the map. "Looking for a certain brunette clairvoyant?"
Sirius raised his middle finger but didn't look up causing the three boys to laugh. "Sirius, if it's bothering you so much, go talk to her before we leave. I'm sure she doesn't want to leave on a bad note," Remus suggested, grinning while thinking of the witch. She had given him enough wolfsbane to last until he returned to Hogwarts the night before while Sirius had been in detention with McGonagall. The girl spent a lot of time in the boy's dorm, James teasing Sirius that he should have been there.
"She's in the Astronomy Tower," Sirius mumbled, groaning and shaking his head. He threw the map to the side. "No. I'm too prideful."
"We know," Peter said.
James closed his trunk with a frown on his face. Suddenly his face lit up. "Minnie has my wand. I'll see you lads at breakfast," he quipped. Running out of the room, Sirius stared dubiously where James had just been.
"Why the bloody hell does Minnie have his wand?" Sirius asked, standing as Remus and Peter closed their trunks.
Peter grinned. "She took it away when he kept conjuring flowers to give to her last night."
"Tried to flirt his way out of something, no doubt," Remus joked, nudging Sirius's side. Sirius smirked at the wolf as they walked to breakfast.
James ran through the hallways, grinning ear to ear when he heard Filch yell at him to stop. He was too close to McGonagall's office to stop now. When he skidded to a stop in front of her office, he knocked thrice in a rhythmic pattern. He heard a sigh before the door opened.
"It's a great morning, isn't it, Minnie?" James prodded, coming to sit on the side of her desk. She lowered her heard slightly so her eyes could be seen from her glasses. "Or not?"
McGonagall smirked a bit. "Get off of my desk, Mr. Potter." James stood up and gave her a salute. "I do hope you mature a bit over the summer. You'll be in your sixth year, after all."
"Sirius and I will have the whole summer to plan different ways for you to learn to love us," James said with a shit-eating grin.
"Oh, dear."
"Anyways, we'll miss you rightfully so, but as it is the last day, I'll be needing my wand back," James said, leaning on the wall slightly.
McGonagall rolled her eyes before pulling open a drawer to grab his wand. Handing it back to him, she questioned, "Have you seen Miss Miller?"
James frowned, wondering why she wanted her. He remembered Sirius saying she was in the Astronomy Tower. "Not since last night before dinner, why?"
"She wasn't at dinner, nor have I seen her in the halls. If you do find her somehow, send her to me before the train leaves, would you?" McGonagall gave him another look. She knew about the map!
James gave her a tight-lipped smile. "Sure thing. I'll go look for her now!"
"Good. I'll see you at breakfast, then," McGonagall said, standing up.
