"SIRIUS, I'M OKAY. I promise," Bonnie mumbled as Sirius hugged her from behind. Everyone had gone to their respective homes except Lily, James, and Remus, the group not wanting Bonnie out of their sights for at least a night. "I'm just getting water."

"You should have asked one of us, love," James called from the living room as he walked into the kitchen to see Sirius holding onto Bonnie tightly. Bonnie sipped her water with one hand as the other was placed delicately on top of Sirius's. She knew he needed her. "All right, stop hogging her. Lily won't stop crying until she's had a turn."

Sirius grumbled something about, "Evans ruining all of his plans," before letting Bonnie go. Bonnie limped toward the living room where Lily sat next to Remus with red-rimmed eyes.

Bonnie felt very weak, and she knew she could not do much for the next few days.

Lily fell into Bonnie's embrace when James helped Bonnie sit on the couch. The red-haired witch cried for what seemed like hours as the three boys sat in silence around them.

Bonnie had caressed Lily's hair, soothing her to calm down because she should not be so stressed out. Remus smiled when Lily finally fell asleep, and James moved her into his embrace. Remus took his turn with Bonnie, taking Lily's place and wrapping his arms around her. "I was so scared," Remus whispered as Sirius was messing with the record player to put on some music. Bonnie smiled lightly at him when he turned to show her a vinyl. "I thought we lost you."

Bonnie sighed in the werewolf's chest as he kissed her head lightly. Sirius sat on the single couch, pouting toward Bonnie. "Moony, can I have my girlfriend?"

"No," Remus said with a shit-eating grin.

Sirius huffed childishly. He looked to James. "Prongs?"

James motioned toward a sleeping Lily. Sirius huffed again. "No love in this family, I'm tellin' ya."

Bonnie snorted, standing up with help from Remus. She sat her cup on the coffee table before sitting on Sirius's lap. She cuddled into his side, her lips pressed to his neck. Sirius sighed contently.

Remus watched as Bonnie's breaths became even, and she fell asleep.

"We should ask her about what the hell she was talking about with the founders," Remus said after a moment to his two best mates. "She says she gets to live."

James grinned. "Did you see the smile on her face? I'm over the moon that she's free from that responsibility."

Sirius nodded, pushing a piece of her hair that tickled his nose away. He tightened his hold on her, kissing her forehead after a moment.

"A-Are you ever going to ask her to marry you, Padfoot?" James asked after some silence. He watched his best mate freeze.

Remus gave an encouraging nod toward Sirius. Sirius sighed, looking down to make sure she was truly sleeping. "I was going to do it the day before your wedding, but Evans called for us. It's been a heavy burden in my pocket, I have to say. There just hasn't been time."

Remus and James were sporting large grins. "You both deserve so much happiness," Remus whispered before he stood up. "Max is probably falling asleep at Molly's. I should go pick him up."

"Did you hear what Bilius said?" James prodded before Remus left. "About Molly?"

Sirius shook his head. He was far too worried about Bonnie's life to care about anyone else. Remus nodded at him to go on.

"She's pregnant. That'll be number six!" James exclaimed with a grin. "That's crazy to think about."

Remus cringed. "I could never, but good for her."
