BONNIE KNEW THIS was a bad idea before they left; truly, she knew.

There was no doubt this was the worst idea Lily Evans has ever had.

The night had gone fine. All of the sixth-year Gryffindor girls went to sleep without too much thought. Bonnie had allowed herself to calm down for the night in order to get a good night's rest. She had let her guard down, and that was the first mistake of the night.

Bonnie had a dream, more like vision of Voldemort's mind again. Her spine had flared up, causing whimpers of pain to leave her mouth in her sleep. Lily woke up, wanting to bring Bonnie to the Hospital Wing, but Bonnie tried to refuse. Lily, of course, didn't care what Bonnie had to say. That was the second mistake of the night.

In the dream, she saw Voldemort torturing a man before instructing him to hide Helga Hufflepuff's cup. He was handing it to the man. She was woken by Lily before she could find out where, but she saw the man's face. She could describe him to Dumbledore maybe, and the great wizard could potentially find him.

Bonnie longed for Dumbledore to return from wherever he was traveling to. She had been personally told by McGonagall that Dumbledore was searching for something (a Horcrux, no doubt) and would return as soon as possible. Bonnie sighed because the Chamber lay waiting to be opened and the beast slain.

Now? Lily was dragging Bonnie through the Courtyard to get to the Hospital Wing quick despite Bonnie's protests to being outside. The reason? Bonnie looked up at the full moon with a gulp. This was the third mistake of the night.

Lily gave no indication that she was stopping, even after the howl had them both freeze in their steps. Lily was too worried about Bonnie's situation to allow the witch to suffer on her own. At least with Madam Pomfrey, there would be some herb or medicine that could dull the pain. Bonnie loved Lily so much, but she truly did not want to be mauled by Remus if his wolf gained control.

"L-Lily, I feel fine," Bonnie lied, ignoring the pain shooting up her back. "Let's just go back—" A ferocious growl was heard to the left of the two girls causing Bonnie to jump in front of Lily quickly. "Lily, go back to the Tower. Now!" Lily didn't listen, of course.

By the growl, Bonnie realized that Remus was not in control, and she was terrified. She pushed Lily back as they began to walk backwards and look around. Neither had their wands as Bonnie grabbed Lily's hand tightly when the witch didn't move.

Lily's hands began to shake as did the rest of her body. From the darkness, two great big eyes and a large snout that was beginning to foam from staring at its prey emerged. It stood frozen, staring menacingly at the girls, and Bonnie wondered if Remus was in there. Didn't he take his potion?

Another growl shook the girls to their core as Lily whispered, "I-I left my wand. B-Bonnie, what do we—Bonnie!" she hissed as Bonnie let her hand go and walked toward the wolf.

"Lily, go back to the Tower, now," Bonnie demanded again with a clenched jaw as she walked slowly toward the wolf. Lily refused again. "Hey, Moony. It's Bonnie. I know you're in there. It's just me."

The wolf growled further but didn't advance as if it was fighting with himself. She knew then that Remus was there, just being pushed back.

Suddenly, a stag appeared looking at the scene with wide-eyes.

"James, get Lily out of here!" Bonnie cried as the wolf's eyes never left hers. The stag stared at Bonnie pleadingly. The stag had no desire to leave Bonnie alone, but he saw the fear in Lily's eyes and the anger in Bonnie's. There was no room for arguing as he seemed to close his eyes in pain. "Now, James!"
