THE LAST HOGSMEADE trip before exams and before they graduated... that was what had been on every seventh year's mind. Hogsmeade trips had been canceled since their return because of the recent attacks, but because it was the final weeks of the school year, Dumbledore had allowed one more trip for the sixth and seventh years. Sure, they could always go back to Hogsmeade after they graduated. It was a village in Scotland near Hogwarts, but it was not just for Hogwarts. Bonnie was trying to instill this into her friends' minds, but they were one to flair dramatics. James and Sirius began 'bawling' when Dumbledore made the announcement causing McGonagall to quirk her lips at the pair. It was no secret that the Transfigurations professor and Head of House would miss her seventh year Gryffindors. They had made her teaching years memorable, after all, but as James and Sirius would not shut up, she sent them a stern glare that was indicating detention.
Bonnie's attention during the long speech was on Sirius, of course. After their night together, it seemed the pair was grossly beautiful. Gross to their friends with Sirius's wandering hands and sweet words, but they shared a love so beautiful that, most of the time, their friends let it slide. They had never seen Bonnie so happy and Sirius so carefree in years.
Like during the speech. After Sirius's fit with James, he immediately latched his hand back with hers, placing a swift kiss on it with a smirk on his lips. James rolled his eyes, but even he mimicked the pair by doing the same with Lily.
"Now, my seventh years," Dumbledore started with a twinkle in his eye, "though things may be dark outside the castle, we won't allow your end of Hogwarts to be anything less than memorable. With that being said, the final few days after exams, there will be festivities to allow you to soak up those final moments at Hogwarts. More information will be distributed by house, but I shall inform you now, there will be a little ball, or as it has changed to be the term party." There was excited chatter that began. "Yes, yes. Use this last weekend at Hogsmeade to get formal wear for this end of the year ball! Don't forget, the Quidditch final between Gryffindor and Ravenclaw is on Tuesday morning and examinations start on Wednesday of next week. Have a wonderful night."
Sirius smirked over at his mates at the news. He wanted to bloody kiss the old wizard for giving them a final chance to be teenagers before they were sent out to the real world. It could be Sirius's final chance at relaxing Bonnie before things got very real. He couldn't wait for the silly ball, though by the smirk on James's face, he had other plans as well.
"Are you coming to watch me practice tomorrow, sweetheart?" Sirius asked as they sat on the couch in front of the fire, later that evening. "James is going mental. You remember when he said he didn't care about Quidditch anymore? Wrong, oh so wrong!"
Bonnie snorted, eyes moving from the fire to Remus's sleeping form on the couch next to them. "I knew James wouldn't give up on Quidditch. He wants to win his final year as captain."
"He's going mental."
"He wants to win," Bonnie replied with a grin," but no, I won't be at the practice. I'm going with Remus to look for the diadem."
Sirius pouted, throwing his head back on the couch with a groan. "Why!?" he drawled it out like a child.
"Remus and I need to look for the diadem," Bonnie replied with a laugh. She leaned forward and kissed his pouting lips. Sirius's eyes swam with mischief, putting a gentle hand on her cheek to keep her lips on his. "Sirius," Bonnie groaned out, trying to pull away. "We should probably go to bed."
"With me?"
Bonnie sent him a look.
Sirius pouted again.
"Fine, but you have to wake up Remus," Bonnie said cheekily as Sirius gave her a look of horror.
"He'll kill me!"
