BONNIE CHEERED FOR James, Sirius, and Marlene as if nothing was wrong. The game, however, was awful. It was the third game of the season and the last for Gryffindor before the holidays. Gryffindor was leading quite a lot in the House Tournament. They could lose a game and still win, but Bonnie didn't like that fact that James and Sirius, who normally were doing wonders on the field, seemed to be missing every beat. James dropped the Quaffle more times than Bonnie could count, and Sirius almost hit himself with the bat. She sighed, knowing it was her fault.

As if reading her mind, Mary placed her hand on Bonnie's shoulder. "It'll be all right, Bon," she whispered. "Yeah?"

Bonnie nodded, watching James miss a Bludger by an inch. Sirius finally managed to hit it away as James scored a goal. Xenophilus Lovegood was commentating as normal, making comments about how rough Gryffindor's score was. It was seventy to twenty. James glared at the white-haired commentator.

It continued to go awful, James only making one other goal as he could barely focus. It was not long until he took a rough Bludger to the back. Bonnie screamed out, Lily following. James lurched forward, hanging off his broom.

Sirius growled out in frustration, looking to Madame Hooch and calling a time out.

Bonnie shook her head. "I'll be back," she murmured to the group. Only Remus seemed to nod his head.

Hurrying down the stairs of the stands, she ran toward the Gryffindor changing rooms where the team was huddled. Another chaser was snarling something at James, but the bespectacled boy seemed too much in pain to listen.

Bonnie was noticed by Sloper who yelled, "Oi, you're not supposed to be here!"

"James, Sirius, now," Bonnie said, watching their eyes widen. Once she yanked them behind the curtain, she flicked both their foreheads. "Snap out of it!"

Sirius scowled, eyes not meeting James or Bonnie as he said, "We're fine, thank you very much."

"It seems so as you allow your arses to be beat by Hufflepuff!"

James looked up with a glare before it softened. "I-I can't focus. I didn't eat anything because I feel like I'm going to throw up at any moment, and I don't want to let my team down."

Sirius leaned his head on his broom in defeat. Bonnie ignored him, grabbing James's hand. "Listen to me, and listen good," she said with a newfound determination. Sirius's eyes widened at the malicious tone to her voice. "Snap out of it. You both are the best Quidditch players I've ever met, and I won't be the one at fault for ruining that. The future is unclear no matter the prophecy. I WILL save you. I WILL not let anything to happen to my family—you all are my family. It does nothing good to worry over it now. We'll do this together, okay? Please, for the love of Merlin's holy balls, snap out of it!"

Sirius cracked a grin. "His holy balls, Miller?"

James grinned at that as well looking Sirius. "C'mon, mate, we need to go put Puffs in their place, eh?" Sirius grinned as James pulled Bonnie into a hug. "Thanks, Bon."

James ran off to lead his team, leaving Sirius and Bonnie standing awkwardly as Madame Hooch called the teams back. Without wasting a second, Bonnie threw herself into Sirius's arms, lips attaching immediately. Sirius dropped his broomstick, gripping Bonnie's waist tightly as if she was going to disappear. Their lips moved quick, trying to memorize every inch of each other. Bonnie gripped Sirius's hair, tugging slightly causing a grunt to leave his throat. His tongue just began to dance its way into Bonnie's mouth when James's called out, "C'mon, Padfoot! Stop snogging her!"
