I throw on my clothes and walk placidly to my first class

My head throbbing from my hangover, and I grab my notes I try to focus on the paper

"hope Hope Hope" Voices swirling

I grab the desk like I'm being dragged away

I breathe and look up " Yes Ms. Featherwood"

"Hope will you write what the two most commonly used herbs for healing in the indigenous groups in this area."

The world is spinning I put my hand on the table to catch me

I doesn't do much I'm shaky and weak

I go to the chalk board and sloppily write tobacco and Sage on the board

I sit back at my seat

I hear the clock ticking one second at a time the pen tapping the counter

I feel my palms start to sweat

My eyes turning gold

The bell rings

I walk to my next class getting a drink of water

worst hangover ever!!

Josie is still teasing me

but I can't seem to focus today I walk to my next class
