Kill him...

The words echoed over and over inside him, until their sound almost became a meaningless tangle. Donghae stared at the people around him...the gleaming porcelain face of LaVerè, the man standing next to her who had his gun trained at him...finally his eyes rested on his mother,

It was weird seeing his mother like this, now that he clearly saw her in the light; she was dressed in expensive clothes, if he hadn't known better, he would've mistaken her for someone else. In short, she was looking better than he had ever seen her before.

"Donghae" said his mother walking closer to him, "you belong with us and not with Falcons and I thought you knew better!"

Every cell in his entire body pleaded with himself to stay calm, but it was difficult. He glanced up, steadily glaring at LaVerè's greesy mascara-bloated grey eyes.

"Why should I kill him?" said Donghae quietly, while he heard a dim tutting from the man who stood infront of him. "The fault is with our parents! We have nothing to do with your stupid wars!"

"He's clearly spent too much time with Maranzano" he said in a gloating voice. "Know this my boy, he won't give a shit about losing one member of his gang! Especially not you! I hoped you said goodbye forever when you stepped out to come here coz there ain't no fucking way you're gonna go back to the Falcons"

"You don't know him!" shouted Donghae almost getting up from his chair, "I can't kill Jake"

"Can't...or won't?" asked LaVerè, her taloned fingers tracing his lips.

"Listen Donghae" she whispered, her voice imidiately calming him down, it felt almost like a drug,  "All you need to do is act like his friend and we will take care of the rest...do you think Jake would spare you if he knows who you truely are? The son of the main enemy of Falcons?"

Donghae took a deep breath and shook his head. His head was already spinning with pressure and this made it impossible for him to concentrate.

"Very well" she said lastly, "choose wisely Aiden, Cosa Nostra once had a leader, his death should not be in vain"

"I'm sure my father didn't want me to become a cold blooded killer who stabs people in the back" said Donghae sarcastically.

LaVerè let out a small snort of laughter, "no my angelic looking boy, your father would've wanted you to be a great leader...and in this world you see, becoming a leader is the same as becoming a cold blooded killier, there's no difference to it"

"Avange your father Donghae, we preserved Cosa Nostra for this long and not for you to back out! Kill him, and it will be over" said his mother from the other side. For the first time, Donghae heard the steel edge of her voice, it was harsh and emotionless,

"do you know how much I risked our lives to keep this organisation going? Do you even know how much I suffered from Falcon's brutality? That man left your father to die Aiden! And Cosa Nostra will NEVER forgive them! Do you understand me?!"

But Donghae did not hear a word she said, his mind was spinning with memories...memories of Jake telling him about his mother and father, memories of the late night parties, his luminous grey-blue eyes, Jake taking off glass pieces gently from his body, the feeling of his lips pressed hotly against his own, and his hands softly touching him in a way he'd never been touched before...no he couldn't kill him...never!

"No, I don't understand you" gasped Donghae. Without thinking, he whirled around and kicked out at the guard who had been behind him, his force connected with the man's wrist, making the gun that he'd been holding fly towards the cielling. Donghae deftly caught it with his left hand, aimed and fired at the fallen guard, the man dropping down dead before he even hit the floor.
