Today is the day I am going to fly out to London, and join the war. One of Howard's drivers pick me up from my apartment, and drives me to where the airport. Thank god Howard owed me a favor so I don't have to take a flight with my soon to be soldiers.

The plane ride was long and uneventful. I either slept or went over my files, which were incredibly boring. There weren't many Hydra bases we knew about, most of the locations weren't even confirmed yet. The only evidence that we clearly had was, somehow, the bases exert a ton of fancy radiation that Howard is somehow able to detect. I am not sure how, but so far, all of then bases have been detected through this radiation.

Soon enough, I made a bumpy landing in the city near the base. Once I was off the plane, I see a car and a man with a mustache in the driver's seat. He steps out of the car and walks up to me. "Are you Agent L/n from the SSR?" he asks, looking me up and down. I assume he was not expecting to pick up a woman.

"I am. Are you my ride or here to kill me?" I joke, making him chuckle.

"Timothy Dugan, but everyone calls me 'Dum Dum'," he says, holding his hand out for me to shake, which I do.

"Pleasure to meet you," I say. We got into the car and he drove me to base where we would spend a lot of time trying to figure out how to win the war.

"The Colonel wants to see you at his tent. 1st one on the right," he says, pointing towards the tent. I thanked him, and placed my stuff in my tent where I would be sleeping and then went to the Colonel's tent. I walked in, finding an older man sitting at a desk reading a file, and I saw my picture inside.

"Agent L/n," he says, standing up. "Colonel Harold Zang. It's good to finally meet you. I was just reading your file."

"Hopefully all good things," I say, shaking his hand.

"Your resume is impressive. The missions you've been on, your weaponry and martial arts skills. Maybe you could teach our men some moves," he says, and I smile. He's not an ass, good start.

"Thank you, sir," I say. For the next couple minutes he explains my role on this base, how I'll be in charge of the soldiers' workouts, examining everyone's best qualities, and responsible for handing out assignments to the soldiers I am observing when leading a mission.

"You start tomorrow working out with the 107th. This will be the group of men you will be spending the most time with. They all have shown exceptional potential in training," he says, and my eyes widen. The 107th, like Bucky? "The sergeant of the 107th will actually be showing you around- That should be him now."

I turn around to find Bucky walking in the tent. His eyes lock mine, and his mouth drops. "Y/n?"

"You two know each other?" Zang asks, confusion filled his voice.

Before Bucky could blow my cover, I quickly say, "well, he directed me to the tent, and we had a light introduction." Bucky raises an eyebrow at me, and I mouth 'please'. I could see the confusion and concern in his eyes, not knowing what to do. My stomach was dropping every millisecond he wasn't saying anything.

"Yea, poor thing didn't know where she was going," he lies, obviously a bit mad about the situation.

"I'm sure I would have been fine on my own, but I did appreciate the help," I say, not wanting the Colonel to think I couldn't handle finding a tent.

"Alrighty then. I'm sure you wouldn't mind taking Agent L/n around the base," he says. "And please, no funny business. I don't need her quitting on me because the men are trying to put a ring on her hand."

"Don't worry, I'm sure she has a man waiting for her when she gets back," Bucky says, and I gulp in guilt. We said goodbye, and walked out of the tent, and the tension was high. We walk away from the tent, neither of us saying anything.

I could not take the silence. "So...When are you going to freak out?"

"What? Me? Freak out?" he says as if that is the most absurd thing he has ever heard.

"Please, it would make me feel so much better about this," I say, looking at the ground. Before I could realize what was going on, Bucky grabbed my hand, and pulled me behind the weapons building that we were about to pass.

"What the hell are you doing here? You're an agent? What is going on? What haven't you told me?" he asks, his hands on my shoulders. Guess I can't keep my secret anymore.

"Have you ever heard of the Strategic Scientific Reserve or the SSR?" I ask.

"Yea, it's that agency that's helping out with the war. What does that have to do with this?" he says, not understanding where I am going with this question.

"I'm an agent there," I say, and he runs a hand through his hair in frustration. "I never worked for Howard Stark. I have work with him a couple of times, but as partners, not as his assistant. I've been working for the SSR since I graduated high school. Originally as an assistant but I was able to work up the ranks so I could help you and Steve pay for rent. I wasn't allowed to tell anyone about my position. It's a policy or I would have been fired."

"But I thought you went on tour with Howard multiple times? Where were you then?" he asks as he starts to pace, trying to take in all this information.

"Um, no I never went on tours with Howard. Anytime I was away it was for a mission. Like how I said I was going to Paris for a Stark Expo. I did actually go to Paris but I went there to free some hostages from the black market. And now the SSR sent me here," I say. He kind of stood there, taking in everything that I just told him.

"So, you're an agent and you didn't tell me?" he questions, and I nod. "-Good to know that my now fiancee has been lying to me for our entire relationship."

"I'm sorry I didn't tell you. I did this for us. We needed the money," I say, and smiled, trying to make it better. "Are you mad at me?"

"Yes. What if something happened to you? I would have never known," he says, finally looking at me instead of pacing around.

"I set up a whole box that would have been given to you giving you my assets and a letter explaining everything," I say. "I am truly sorry, Buck. I had no other option."

He takes a moment to rack his head around everything. "I need you to be honest with me from now on. I don't want secrets between us."

"There is nothing else that I have been hiding, I promise," I say, cupping his cheeks. "From now on, I will tell you the whole truth."

"Thank you. I'm just glad you're alright. Plus, now I don't have to worry about what you're doing all the time. I missed you." He pulls me into a kiss, which I immediately melt into, feeling the relief of not having to be away from him.

"I missed you too," I say. "So much."
