Guys, please send help. I spent ten minutes cry-laughing when I made the meme above
And also, I have a newly found hatred towards this dude, but later on he becomes eh....imma still make fun of him tho

The doorbell of your small restaurant rung, letting you know that a new customer is coming to order. It was strange to have a customer at this time of day, considering that your workplace was the size of a bedroom, and it was only 6 a.m. The bustling of people would usually start at 8 in the morning, if not, 7 at the earliest. You couldn't complain, you loved to serve the people of Japan, especially in your hometown, Yokkaichi. It wasn't the largest city, even smaller because there was no division protecting it, but it was home. It was your home.

You owned your restaurant. A small dine-in place open 24/7. The same people would come in each day at the same time(most of them elders coming back from shrines) so you had found your way with people. Some of the newcomers that went into your restaurant established you to be skeptical with them. Of course you were; they are strangers after all, yet you'd serve them the same as you'd serve your everyday-customers.

You turned around, pouring yourself a hot mug of hot chocolate from the coffee maker.

"Welcome. I have just opened, so if you don't mind the wait..."

Slurring your words once you glanced up, you immediately glared at the man before you. He lifted his right hand up in a wave and gave you a shaky smile.

"Hello, (Y/n)-San! Ah, long time no see?"

The man, known as Tom Whisper Weatherdick, waited for your response before he sat down. A gruff hum came from your mouth as you looked back to your mug. He sighed in relief and sat in the red-cushioned stool in front of you. He watched you place the clean dishes in a pile for your customers with his palm on his cheek and a light smile. It's been a while since you had seen this man. The last you talked to him was during an...argument. You used to be his partner of three years until recently. It wasn't a heated argument that made you two hate each other's guts; obviously not.

Although, it was one that you both needed to have time away from each other. That quarrel started because of Tom's perspective of the world and your family. You had made the mistake of taking him and your parents to a diner so you all could get along better. Your father, an ex-conman, had decided to also pick the wrong bite, and insisted to know Tom's thoughts about unruly options society had made. Of course, your father was on the opposite side of Tom, starting a major dispute between them both. Your mother had piped down the conversation before it came to be a full on feud, but your father persisted to press Tom's buttons.

You then asked for the bill early so you could end the conversation all together. When you both had gone to the apartment you shared, you had tried to apologize to him about your father, but he wouldn't listen. That's when you decided it. 'Tom. I'm going away for a while.' Those words stuck with you these entire two months. Haunting your stressed figure. Sure, it greatly saddened yourself and Tom when you had told him that you needed time away, but it was the correct choice. You just didn't expect it to last this long...

You weren't sure if Tom didn't want to see you anymore after you had untied the loose ends, so you decided not to see him all together. His work partners/friends, Iris and Rex, attempted to contact you(both in person and over phone) and you'd ignore them. It was selfish, yes, but you thought it'd be better that way—to cut all friendships, relationships, and just mostly everything and start anew. You did love your new start albeit boring. Becoming friends with a few elders was rather interesting, and they advised you wise words whenever you felt upset. As for the younger, you still loved to talk to them, yet you didn't try to capture bonds with them.
