Book II, Chapter 27: Danzo, The "Sixth" Hokage

After a few weeks from the destruction of Konoha due to the Akatsuki attacking, the village was left in shambles as there was no Hokage to keep the peace. Many have opted for Kakashi to be the temporary sixth Hokage as not only was he trained by the fourth, the fourth was trained by Jiraiya, who they previously wanted to be Hokage instead of Tsunade.

There were some suggestions of Y/N being voted to be Hokage due to his commendable leadership skills since he leads a clan. But, they essentially threw that suggestion out of the window since he was still too young.

They had settled on a solution, it being Danzo being the temporary sixth Hokage. Once the news had reached Y/N and his clan, most of them were unsure if that decision was correct. Y/N heavily disagreed with hit as he saw Danzo as a suspicious man, but he couldn't do anything about it. Not with the current situation at least. Despite him still being the Grandmaster, he was still a citizen of Konoha and an acting shinobi for it. This meant he would still take orders from the Hokage, it now being Danzo. Y/N had already loathe the idea of it.

A knock was received at the door of his room, Y/N wondering who it was.

Y/N: Come in.

Mira: Forgive my intrusion, Grandmaster.

Y/N: Mira? What is it?

Mira: Three shinobi from Kumogakure are at the checkpoint, right now. They said they have business with Danzo-sama.

Y/N: (sigh) Send them through. But keep watch of them, Mira. Take Cornelia with you. Also, you have permission to use lethal force if they try anything.

Mira: (bows) Of course.

The door closes and Y/N sighs, resting his head on his hand. His pile of paperwork had increased and Y/N had to pull many all-nighters to complete most of them.

As instructed, Mira and Cornelia were escorting the three Kumogakure ninja to the "sixth" Hokage. The white haired shinobi, a man named Omoi. The red haired shinobi was a woman named Karui while the blonde haired Kumogakure shinobi was named Samui. As the three were being led through the village, they took a look at the sights around them, the whole village destroyed.

Cornelia: Please pardon the other two on how they treated you. We've been on our toes this whole time.

Samui: I'm surprised the Shirai Ryu are active, considering the massacre that happened years ago. And I thought Leaf guards were supposed to be around? And finding the village in such a state...we were shocked and wondered what had happened.

Mira: It was the work of the Akatsuki. And to answer about our activity, the Grandmaster was one of the sole survivors. And precautionary measures have been taken immediately and security is being tightened.

Samui: We would like an audience with your Hokage. I am here to deliver a letter from the Raikage to Lady Hokage.

Cornelia: We're not necessarily Leaf ninja, but our clan leader is. Whatever our clan leader is ordered, we follow what the clan leader orders us. 

Mira: And right now, Lady Tsunade is in a coma.

Samui: I see.

A few minutes pass by and the two clansmen lead the three Kumogakure to Tsunade's tent. Karui, Omoi, and Cornelia were posted outside. Mira had went into the tent with Samui.

Samui: So it's true.

Mira: Unfortunately.

Shizune: I am her aide, so I will accept the letter on her behalf.

Samui: If it's uncertain when she will regain consciousness, the interim Hokage will do. Someone must read the letter and give me a reply! The Raikage cannot wait.
