Book II, Chapter 10: Meet My Father

Y/N POV

It's been days since the recovery mission for Sasuke. Because I used Niichirin's special ability, I had to rest for five days. A lot of time has passed. Naruto and Sakura met up with this guy named Sora. Or at least I think that's what his name was. Konoha was attacked because Sora was being manipulated as he had a piece of the Kyuubi.

Me? I had many of my clansmen tracking down Kano and a few other people. I was personally trying to track down Quan Chi. He's been making a lot of contacts with the Akatsuki as well. I heard the sound of crackling electricity outside so I opened the sliding door to see Lord Raiden and a few people from the Mortal Kombat Tournament. Even father and Grandmaster Sub-Zero was there.

(A/N): It doesn't really tell us how much time has passed after the events of MK9 to the point of the prologue in MKX. So I'm making this chapter the part to where Raiden and the others returned from assaulting Quan Chi's tower.

Raiden: Grandmaster Hasashi, may I request refuge within you're temple?

Y/N: Of course. (bows) Welcome to the Fire Garden. (gestures to Ibara and Mira) Mira, Ibara, please show our guests to where they may rest.

Ibara/Mira: (bows) Of course, Grandmaster.

I smile to myself. My father's been restored. Before he was killed. That's right. Sakura still needs to meet him. Well, father seems to approve her so I think it's fine. I had notified Mira that I would be heading into the village for a while so if they needed me, they would just come to her or Ibara instead.

I set off and I stepped through the great big gate. The rebuilding process is looking nice. Naruto had played a huge part in stopping the crisis. He was able to calm Sora down, a monk from the Land of Fire's temple. As I made my way through the village, I come across Konohamaru and his lackeys. Well, I guess you can call them his lackeys.

Konohamaru: (notices Y/N) Oh? Y/N-niichan!

Y/N: Yo. How you guys doing? Not causing trouble I hope.

Moegi: Of course we aren't!

Konohamaru: Of course we can't! We need to be dependable for our village!

Iruka: That's right. You all will be the future generation of ninja to serve Konoha.

Y/N: Iruka-sensei...

Iruka: Honestly, I couldn't have asked for greater students. Oh, Y/N! How's your clan going?

Y/N: (smiles) It is doing well. I am pleased to have such great allies join us.

Iruka: At least one of your goals have been completed. Now you still have to find your father.

Y/N: Father is at the temple actually. Fully restored.

Iruka: (smiles) Is that so? Then what's next for the Grandmaster?

Y/N: Before I head back to my original home, I still have a few more things to do here.

Iruka: And what is it?

Y/N: I still need to bring home the dumb ass, Sasuke, back here. 

Konohamaru and his friends then pick up the wooden pillar they had dropped and went to continue on.

Iruka: You really have changed since you're academy days, you know that?

Y/N: Have I?

Iruka: Of course. You used to do everything by yourself, well, not unless Sasuke was around. I heard you got a girlfriend too.

Y/N: (smiles) I do. I am thankful to her.

Iruka: Well, if you're looking for Sakura she's at the Leaf Village hospital.
