Y/N POV
After an eventful talk last night with Poney, everything seemed to be alright. Well, besides the ever growing hostility between Naruto and Sai. I don't know what the fuck kind of bone that they're picking at each other and it's getting annoying. Hell, I'm already getting annoyed bonking Naruto's head.
Right, we continued our journey to Tenchi bridge. Poney and Sakura were always conversing on the way there as Sakura held onto my arm. It was quiet for the most part. It was peaceful. There was barely any sound except for the wind blowing, the girls conversing, and the chirping of the birds.
Yamato: It's about time.
Sakura: What is it, Captain Yamato?
Yamato: (looks around and heads into tall grass) This way.
Naruto: Huh?
Yamato: Hurry up!
Naruto: O-Okay!
Confused on what he has to talk to us about, we run after him.
Timeskip-Dawn
Naruto: Why are we going to the trouble of coming through here...?
I was behind Sakura, crawling as we were under a fallen tree. There was a spider next to her so I was about to warn her until she saw it. She gave a little shriek and she backed up a bit. She tumbled on to me and my face was suddenly covered and it was getting harder to breathe. It felt nice though.
The thing that was covering my face was suddenly cleared and I looked forward only to see Sakura, hurrying through. I looked back, only to see Poney giving me a cheeky grin. What just happened?
Sakura: Captain Yamato! What's the meaning of this!? I think the path we were on was the right way. Captain!
Yamato: I'm sure Lady Tsunade has told you.
Naruto: What're you talking about?
Y/N: Yes, what is he talking about?
Yamato: (stops walking) The information Sakura got might be a trap.
Y/N: Hmm. You may be correct. From what I've heard about the Akatsuki, they're all sneaky bastards. Not only that, they've made contact with Quan Chi.
Poney: Umm, who's the Akatsuki?
Y/N: An organization that seeks to take control of all the tailed beasts. You already know who has one.
Poney: Oh.
Yamato: There is a possibility that the Akatsuki might be...waiting to ambush us at the Tenchi Bridge.
Y/N: It's a high possibility considering we already have a painted target on our back. (looks to Naruto)
Naruto: (notices Y/N's gaze) Why are you looking at me?
Yamato: (looks to Naruto) They might be after you, Naruto.
Naruto: No way...
Yamato: I don't think there's a great possibility, but you can never be too careful. We will proceed along a covert route as much as possible until we reach Tenchi Bridge.
Naruto: Right, tattebayo!
Poney: Tattebayo?
Y/N: It's a habit he has.
Timeskip-Night
We walked out of the forest and into a clearing. Yamato and I looked around. I guess we'll be camping for the night.
Naruto: Huh?
Sakura: Don't tell me...
Yamato: Yep! We'll be resting here for the night!
