Changing up my writing style to third person view. I think I write better when writing in that point of view rather than first person. I don't know. I hope you enjoy it.

It has been a few days since Naruto had learned of his teacher's death. While the Leaf had suffered a huge lost from that, but they kept their spirits held high. There were lots of work to be done, Sakura assisting Tsunade with Shikamaru to help unravel the undeciphered code that Jiraiya left behind before he perished.

The young Shirai Ryu Grandmaster on the other hand was to busy to help out in the Leaf, busy handling his own reports. His scouts have continued to report back to him, notifying him of NetherRealm incursions and portals of Outworld opening to their realm. Not only that, countless scouting parties from the Empire kept coming. Y/N's clan numbers had dwindled in the past few days. While not much, they were at fifty members, but now thirty-six due to all these incursions happening all around.

It doesn't help much that most of his clansmen were out taking care of the problems that were happening all around. Protection from Outworld's monsters and demons from the NetherRealm kept attacking nearby villages. Sometimes, Quan Chi's revenants sometimes attack, but the only ones to take care of them were Y/N and others who have already fought them.

Currently, Y/N lied asleep on his desk, numerous papers, scrolls, and documents lying about his room. He had been up all night looking over them. Sakura would drop by every now and then, checking on his well being. When Y/N was sleeping, the only one capable of running the clan at the moment was Mira, but she needed help. Cornelia, being revered as the big sister of the Elite Seven, was helping all she could. The one helping Mira with plans was Green, who was responsible for some of the cunning moves the Elite Seven had performed when they were still in duty for the Empire.

Tsukushi was helping with Ibara, training all the recruits as they felt a battle was coming onto the horizon. Not only that, her Shingu, Prometheus, were running low on bullets and the Leaf weren't able to construct more of them.  To suffice for now, the blacksmith had forged her a saber for swordsmanship and she had leather gloves along with iron gauntlets. Poney was off doing who knows what, but lately, Y/N had been getting reports of disturbances in the forest. Sounds of fighting coming from an auburn haired girl and a boy in a green jumpsuit.

Soon after, Y/N wakes up, gripping his ninjato that rested on his hip. Sweat was running down his face. He felt an uneasy presence.

(A/N): Turns out the thing I've been calling tanto was a ninjato. I think the katana is a wakizashi.

Sitting back down, he breathed a sigh of relief. Y/N always kept his guard up. No matter how peaceful the area was.

He wasn't sure of the unknown he presence he felt. He felt multiple of them actually. It was ominous. Something was to occur. Little did he know, something was about to attack.

Outside Leaf walls

Outside of the Leaf walls, there was a small cottage with a silo. There was an orange haired man in a spiky hairstyle. He was sporting the familiar Akatsuki coat. The black trench coat that had a red cloud pattern. Bodies of Leaf shinobi laid on the ground.

He stares at the Leaf walls, many rods sticking out of his face as his purple eyes with special pattern were shown distinctively.

???: The time has come.

Leaf Village, Cipher Division

Shikamaru was currently in the cipher division, attempting to crack the message that Jiraiya had left behind.

Shikamaru: Jiraiya-sama sent back three sources of information...

Another girl in the room with blonde hair wearing glasses, Shiho, spoke next.
