Chapter 15: Chunin Exams Begin!

3rd POV

Hokage's Office

Hiruzen: It's time to pick our candidates for the Chunin Exams. To begin, for those of you who are in charge of Genin squads step forward. However there is an exception this year as their is one extra student coming from one of out squads.

Three captains step forward. Those being Kakashi Hatake, Team 7's captain, Asuma Sarutobi, Team 10's captain, and Kurenai Yuhi, Team 8's captain.

Hiruzen: Asuma, Kakashi, Kurenai. Are there any people in your squads you wish to recommend to take the exam despite their inexperience? Kakashi, you nay begin.

Kakashi: I lead Squad 7, Sasuke Uchiha, Sakura Haruno, Naruto Uzumaki, and Y/N Hasashi. I, Kakashi Hatake, recommend all four to take the exam.

Kurenai: I lead Squad 8, Hinata Hyuga, Kiba Inazuka, and Shino Aburame. I, Kurenai Yuhi, recommend all three to take the exam.

Asuma: I lead Squad 10, Ino Yamanaka, Shikamaru Nara, and Choji Akimichi. I, Asuma Sarutobi, recommend all three to take the exam.

After the announcement of the rookies that were recommended for the exam. Clamor starts to erupt. It didn't make sense to send rookies in the Chunin exam because they are inexperienced. This sparked a few people to disagree with these selections. This included Naruto's former teacher, Iruka. As the four students of Team 7 are recommended to participate in the exam, what shall be their fates?

Timeskip-Next Day

Team 7 now awaits on the bridge on a new day they were previously at yesterday, waiting for their masked teacher to arrive. 

Sakura: (sighs) Why is it that he always sets the time and we have to wait for hours for him?

Naruto: (raises fist in the air) Yeah!

Sakura: (irritated) What about my own feelings? I ran here so fast I didn't have time to blow-dry my hair!

Y/N: You're hair looks fine...

Naruto: I didn't have time to brush my teeth or change my underwear!

Y/N: ...

Sakura: ...You didn't?

Y/N: That's just fucking gross.

Sasuke: (thoughts) First thing in the morning and those two are already annoying me.

Kakashi: (appears on bridge arch) Good morning students. Sorry I was late, I got lost on the path of life.

Sakura and Naruto: That's a lie!

Kakashi: (jumps down) Now this is sudden but, I recommended you all for the Chunin Exams. (hands application forms) Here are your application forms.

Sakura: Application forms?

Kakashi: This is all voluntary. It's all up to you. If you don't feel ready, you can wait until next time.

Naruto: Yeah! (runs up and hugs Kakashi) Kakashi-sensei, you're the best!

Kakashi: (struggling) Stop it! You're getting drool all over my vest!

Y/N: What the hell...?

Kakashi: (puts Naruto down) Anyway, whoever wants to take the exam, sign the application and go to room 301 at the academy. It's at 3:00 PM five days from now. That's all.

Small Timeskip

Naruto: (excited) Chunin Exams. I'll be against a lot of crazy strong ninja! (thoughts) Like the dude with the mummy on his back, Mr. Attitude over there, and Y/N.
