Y/N POV
We were engaged in combat against one of the Hidden Mist's Genin. His reason to engage us was revenge for me killing his comrade on the first day the second exam started.
Sakura: W-what is this?
Kabuto: This is quite the number. In fact, these are all clones?
Mist Genin: Heh. Cornered rats.
Naruto: (jumps and throws a punch) Shut up tattebayo!
His punch lands the clone and Sakura cheers him on but, something peculiar catches me, Sasuke's, and Kabuto's eyes. Naruto's punch had been absorbed and it went right through the guy's stomach.
Y/N: (thoughts) What the hell are these guys?
Naruto: (crashes to the ground) Gyaa!
Y/N: Sasuke, use your Sharingan to find an exploit!
Sasuke: Right! (activates Sharingan)
One of the clones that had emerged from the one Naruto punched went to stab Naruto in the back.
Sasuke: (throws shurikens) Naruto!
The shurikens cut right through the arm and the clones turn to Sasuke in a creepy-like manner. The clone throws the kunai it has in it's hands to Sasuke. Sasuke tries to move but he freezes. I reacted by pushing him out of the way and I took the blade into my shoulder.
Y/N: Tch.
Sakura: (worried) Y/N!
Y/N: Don't worry. (pulls kunai out) Just a scratch. More importantly, Sasuke why the hell can't you move? (notices curse mark) (thoughts) What the hell is that mark on his neck? (looks to Sakura) Sakura, help him up.
Sakura: Right!
Clones: Scroll please. Hand it over.
Naruto: Since Y/N was injured, does that mean these things are Shadow Clones!? But Shadow Clones are supposed to disappear after being hit!
Y/N: You think we don't know that!?
Naruto: Are these things a part of the genjutsu or are they the real thing!? Which one is it!?
Clones: Give me the scroll.
Naruto: (readies kunai) Dammit!
Sasuke: Don't do it! It's futile! (Naruto pauses) These things are apart of the illusion. They're not real.
Sakura: (confused) But Y/N's wound is the real thing!
Kabuto: No, it's as Sasuke says. The enemy is hidden somewhere and is probably coordinating the attack. They're attacking from a different location.
Y/N: So it's explains why these clones are pretending to attack us.
Naruto: Then I'll find those idiots who sit behind the scenes by throwing kunai knives and I'll kick his butt!
Kabuto: Wait! We have been deceived as to the source of the kunai knives, so we can't discover the enemy's location. Do you understand? This is the enemy's purpose.
Y/N: From the looks of it, these guys are incredibly weak in close quarters combat.
Kabuto: The only thing we can do is fend off the enemy's attack.
The clones toss kunai knives at us and the only thing we can do is parry them or avoid them.
Sakura: This is endless!
Naruto: (readies Shadow Clone jutsu) Since it's coming down to this...
Kabuto: Naruto, don't waste your chakra here! Even if you do attack them, it'll all be pointless!
