After the eventful battle between Neji and Hinata, they started up the board again and started cycling through the names again. That scumbag. He'll pay.
(A/N): Neji was a real scumbag until Naruto knocks some sense into him. He's still a good character though.
Shikamaru: Hey Choji. You're in real trouble now. It's just the strong people left. (looks to Dosu) Probably the strongest of the Sound ninja is that bloke. (looks to Lee and me) Lee is strong enough to take on Sasuke. Don't even get me started on Y/N. (looks to Gaara) And particularly that Sand guy. He's probably the most dangerous one here.
Choji: (quivers and shakes) I-It doesn't matter. I plan to just forfeit right away when my match comes.
Y/N: (thoughts) Poor guy...guess he's just not up for it.
Asuma: So that means...you even plan to forgo an all-you-can-eat BBQ too?
Choji: (shocked) What!? Please, come on!
Asuma: (walks and crouches down) Well, don't worry. Even if things start to get ugly, I'll stop the fight like I did for Hinata. Okay? I'll give you prime beef tongue, short ribs. You can get what you want.
Choji: (fired up and pumps fist) Oooooooh! B-B-Q! All right! All you can eat BBQ!
Y/N: (sweat drops) Did he really just persuade him with food?
I freeze for a moment as I could feel a murderous intent coming off from someone. I look over to the Sand guys and sure enough, Gaara is giving off this intense glare. Kankuro actually looks scared. Come to think of it, when we met with Gaara that one time, he got scared and back downed after Gaara snapped at him, specifically saying he was going to kill him. Is he that powerful that his teammates fear him?
Kankuro starts to leave and waves off to his friends and walks up to the area we were standing at. He walks and stands next to Naruto. I shift a little bit closer to hear what they're saying.
Kankuro: That guy...Neji Hyuga was it? It looked to me that he wasn't showing his real strength. What's he on about?
Naruto: I'll beat him up!
Kankuro: (sweat drops) No...that wasn't what I was talking about. (grins) You seem like a fun guy. You're pretty cool.
Naruto: You're pretty dull. I really don't like you. (bonked on the head) Gyaa! What was that for!?
Y/N: Knock it off. Sorry for his stupidity.
Kankuro: None taken.
Hayate: (cough) I would like to resume the next battle.
Guy: Yosh. This time you'll be up Lee. (thumbs up) Go for it.
Lee: No.
Guy: (confused) Huh?
Lee: Seeing as I have come this far, I would rather go last!
The names are cycling through and I see Gaara cast a jutsu and sand starts to swirl around him as he disappears. Guess he knows he's up next.
Choji: Uuuuuuraaaaagggghhhh! Safe!
Y/N: Huh?
Ino: (bonks Choji on the head) Hey!
Shikamaru: (bonks Choji on the head) Don't do anything that's so misleading you idiot!
I look to the board to see what he was talking about. So that was what he meant by safe. Next match was between Gaara and Lee.
Sakura: (concerned) Lee-san!
Lee: (kicks air) It worked! If you say you want to go last, then you won't be the last one! It's an application of law that says a stone that is thrown to hit a telephone pole will miss, and stone thrown to miss will be a direct hit!
