Chapter 11: Battle on the Bridge

3rd POV

Kakashi, Y/N, Sasuke, and Sakura with last member of Team 7 left at Tazuna's home, the remainder are face to face with the previous enemy, Zabuza with a new member, Haku. The tense atmosphere surrounds the area with both Sasuke and Y/N are trembling with excitement, eager to get round two in from their last encounter.

Kakashi: Well, well. I guess I was right. The boy was playing an act back then.

Tazuna: An act?

Kakashi: What a cute little mask.

Sakura: (surprised) Huh?

Sasuke: What a phony. Hmph.

Y/N: No need to taunt.

Tazuna: So all that bravado of protecting his village was...

Y/N: A lie? Pretty much. They seem to be all buddy over there.

Kakashi: Must have been pulling schemes over the years.

Sakura: He's got to have some nerve to be pulling a trick on us.

Y/N: Don't be fooled Sakura. He must have had a reason to do that. Something about him feels off.

Kakashi: He's also hiding behind a mask. Who does he think he's fooling?

Sakura: Speak for yourself.

Y/N: You're also wearing a mask, Kakashi-sensei.

Y/N and Sakura briefly do a low five as they pretty much roasted their teacher.

Sasuke: I'll take him out.

Y/N: Right behind you.

As Team 7 were conversing with each other, both Zabuza and Haku are briefly analyzing and evaluating their opponents to see which they will have to take out first. Their biggest obstacle being Kakashi.

Haku: Those two boys... both are impressive. Even though the clones were a tenth of the original's strength, they both destroyed them all.

Zabuza: But still, that move still gave us the first advantage. Use it.

Haku: Hai.

Wind starts blow all around them as Haku is spinning on his heels using himself as a small tornado. Sasuke draws out two kunai's and engages his opponent. Y/N hangs back for support, preparing to engage in the fight when necessary. 

With Naruto

Naruto rushes to the assist his teammates at the bridge but, stops to see a dead boar on the side of the path. He walks closer to it to examine it and sees the boar had died from slash attacks, more specifically katana slashes. Naruto knows that the only person on his team that uses long bladed weapons like these is Y/N but, knows that Y/N will only attack animals when he needs to. As rushes back to Tazuna's home, he sees two men with katanas holding Inari's mother hostage and sees said child running over to them to try and save her. Naruto grins a little, knowing that his little lesson with Inari last night has effected him.

Inari's mother: If you hurt him i'll--

Inari's mother is interrupted by one of them, the one with a bandanna, knocking her out. The two men ready their weapons as Inari comes closer. The weapons are drawn and something hits the blades.

With Team 7 on the bridge

Both Sasuke and Y/N are clashed with Haku. On Haku's right, he is blocking Sasuke's kunai with a senbon. Y/N has his tanto drawn and is currently being blocked by Haku on his left with another senbon.

Zabuza: (thoughts) Oh? Those two were able to keep up with Haku at that speed, huh?

As the three clash blades, Kakashi instructs Sakura to cover Tazuna close to him. Sasuke and Haku spin twice before clashing the blades and Y/N comes up behind Haku, in order to deliver a quick but, fatal blow, hoping to put the masked boy down. It wasn't enough as Y/N's blade is blocked by another senbon Haku is holding behind him.
