Chapter 18: Duel with a Sorcerer

Y/N POV

After we received our scroll, we waited at gate 27. Naruto was the most pumped up of the bunch.

Naruto: (punches air) Alright! I'll bring down anyone whoever comes near any of us!

Y/N: Just don't die in the process.

I smiled at everyone's determination. I just couldn't help feel that I was being watched. I brushed it off for now. After a few minutes, they unlocked the gates and we entered the forest. A few minutes had already passed from walking and we could already hear the screams of agony from the other teams. The bloodbath had already begun.

Sakura: (grabs on to me) Was that screaming just now?

Y/N: Yeah. (everyone looks to me) From here on out, everyone is a target. I'll say this, no hesitation. If you have the chance to kill, take it. Because believe me, they won't care for our pleas. Come on, we gotta keep moving.

Naruto: (nervous) T-there's n-nothing to be n-nervous about.

Y/N: If anything you should be. Someone could have placed a trap for us.

Sasuke: You seem to know what you're doing.

Y/N: It's what kept me alive so far. There's a saying, "chances are taken, not given." So if you have the chance or an opportunity, take it.

Naruto: Oh! I have to pee! (walks over to a nearby tree)

Y/N: (bonks Naruto on the head) Don't do it in front of a lady. Go to a bush.

After Naruto left to go do his business, we just sat around. He came back after a minute or two but, the most peculiar thing was that his ninja tool pouch was on his left leg. Naruto usually put's it on his right. I look to Sasuke and he nods. I run up to the "Naruto" and stab him with my tanto.

Sakura: Y/N what was that for!? You just stabbed Naruto!

Y/N: Who are you and what have done with the real Naruto?

"Naruto": Huh!? What do you mean!? It is me!

Y/N: Don't test my patience! Sasuke, tie him up.

Sasuke: On it. (ties the fake up)

"Naruto": What are you doing guys it's me!

Sakura: Can't you see it's Naruto!

Y/N: If it was his pouch would be on his right leg and not his left. 

Sasuke: Not only that, the scratch on his cheek is gone.

Y/N: (serious) I'll ask again, where is Naruto?

Kirigakure Genin: (reverts back to original form) Unlucky. You got me. I gue-- urk.

Y/N: You didn't answer my question. Perish in hell. (removes tanto)

Sakura: Y-you killed him.

Sasuke: Did you not hear him before? From here on out everyone is an enemy. If you have chance to strike you take it. It's survival of the fittest.

Y/N: Enough. Sakura, Sasuke, loot his body to see if he has the opposite scroll but, remain on guard. We don't know if his teammates are around. I'll look for Naruto.

Naruto: (walks out of bushes) Aaah! That felt good. (sees dead body) H-he's dead.

Y/N: No shit. I killed him.

Naruto: (surprised) What!

Y/N: It's survival of the fittest from now on between the teams.

Sasuke: Anyway, we need to come up with something if we get separated.
