3rd POV
Y/N, Sakura, Poney, and Green had regrouped with Naruto, Kiba, and Kakashi. Y/N was the only one capable of keeping up with Naruto as said boy was up ahead from everyone else.
Naruto had sent out numerous shadow clones to figure out where Sasuke was. Y/N had slipped one of his kunai knives that had the mark that allowed him to teleport using the Flying Raijin jutsu. The two boys wondered what was going on with their former Uchiha comrade.
With Karin, Suigetsu, and Jugo
The other members of Sasuke's squad were resting by a rock in a shaded area. Sasuke had gone inside a cave to check for the remnants of Itachi.
Suigetsu: I wonder if Sasuke's going to be alright.
Karin: What are you getting at?
Suigetsu: What if he gets a hit on the first Akatsuki hideout?
Jugo: You think Itachi is hiding there?
Suigetsu: I said, "what if," didn't I? Anyway, Itachi's supposed to be a really tough guy, right?
Karin: Sasuke would never lose to someone like...
Suigetsu: Maybe we should start thinking about a worst-case scenario.
Karin: I'll check what's going on inside from here. If anything happens, we're going inside!
Suigetsu: Huh? What's with you all of a sudden? When it comes to Sasuke, you really get your panties in a bunch.
Karin: (blushes madly) Y-You're wrong! I-I don't get my panties in a...y-you wanna fight, y-ya son of a bitch!?
Jugo: In that case, I'll ask the birds to scout the area in order to find any approaching enemies.
Suigetsu: (grins) Geez...I can't believe you guys.
Karin: In any case, we need to keep an eye out for that Hasashi guy.
Suigetsu: Oh yeah. Didn't Sasuke say he was real dangerous? Like stay away from him at all costs?
Jugo: Yeah. From what he was inferring, Sasuke seems to have worked with him in the past.
Suigetsu: Then if he shows up, we have the advantage right!? Sasuke could probably take him down!
Jugo: You're missing the point. Sasuke said, he may have gotten stronger over the years. Not only that, he was raised by the Shirai Ryu.
Karin: That clan of assassins, huh? Thought they all died?
Suigetsu: Sasuke said that Y/N was the only survivor. From what I heard, this same Y/N character has rebuilt the clan and is the leader of it.
Karin: And how would you know this?
Suigetsu: Intimidating people can get you a lot of information.
Jugo: In any case, we should keep an eye out for the enemy.
Back with Naruto and Y/N
Naruto's clones had caught up to a bird with a piece of cloth that had Sasuke's scent on it. He took it off and let the bird free.
Y/N: Another dud?
Naruto: Yeah. We're supposed to be searching for Sasuke by his scent, but still...I can't help feel that our enemy is one step ahead of us.
Y/N: I wouldn't be too surprised. Sasuke was usually a step ahead of you. That and we are dealing with an Akatsuki member.
Naruto Clone 2: That's why we're compensating for the enemy's diversions with numbers.
