The next day, Aizawa and I are walking to campus, when we hear a loud commotion. I notice that there's a huge crowd of people.
"Aizawa what's happening?"
"Tch, there's a swarm of media reporters. Sounds like they're trying to find out stuff about All Might." I feel him pull me to the side, "Here, I'll take you through the side entrance."
We eventually end up in the staff lounge, and Aizawa goes back to the front gate, saying he's going to make sure students get inside safely.
"Good morning Himitsu-san, I'm sorry if the press caused you any trouble." I turn and see All Might sitting on the sofa.
"No worries All Might, I'm sure this is considered somewhat normal since you're the #1 pro hero after all. Also, feel free to drop the honorifics, you're a much more important person than I am," I reply with a laugh.
"What? No! Himitsu-san don't say that. If it wasn't for your unfortunate accident, I'm sure you would've made an amazing hero!"
Yeah... I really wonder who I'd be if that night went differently... I think to myself sadly. I plaster a fake smile on my face, wanting to change the topic,"I told you to drop the honorific!"
I hear the pro hero laugh, "Well, only if you call me Toshinori then!"
I give him a small smile and wave, and start heading towards 1-A for homeroom. I step in and notice that all the students are there, but Aizawa isn't.
"Himitsu-sensei, how do you get around without a walking stick or anything, kero?" I hear Asui ask.
I hum, "Before classes started, I asked the teachers to give me multiple tours around the building, I was able to memorize the layout. I've had to rely on my other senses ever since I lost my eyesight, so my sense of hearing and smell are very sensitive. Usually I'll walk around with Aizawa or another staff member guiding me, but I can make my way around alright, it just becomes a little more difficult if a lot of students are in the hallway."
"Ohhhh, is that why you're so good at close combat even though you're blind?"
"Yes that's right Uraraka-chan," I answer, "I was able to hear Bakugo's quirk during our fight yesterday, and my reflexes are fast enough to allow me to react in time to counteract it."
"Himitsu-sensei, what is your quirk?" Midoriya asks.
"It's just a simple muscle enhancement type of quirk. So I'm slightly stronger and faster than I would be otherwise." I watch in amusement as the boy quickly scribbles in a notebook and mutters to himself.
Soon Aizawa arrives and explains that the class needs to choose a class rep, and he ends up taking a nap in his sleeping bag. Midoriya and Yaoyorozu are chosen to be the class reps, after it was decided that a vote would be the best way to decide.
Aizawa and I head towards the staff lounge once the teacher for the first period arrives.
"So tomorrow, the hero basic training is going to be held at USJ with Thirteen and All Might. Since you don't have anything else to do, you're welcome to come with us and hang around."
"Sure, sounds fun," I reply. Aizawa continues to discuss future course plans and soon its lunchtime. I pull out my bento, and Aizawa pulls out what looks like jelly pouches.
"Aizawa, you should get food from Lunch Rush, or have some of my bento. You need to eat a proper meal."
"I don't want to deal with the crowd of students. It's fine, this is what I usually eat for my meals anyways."
I huff, "that's not healthy." The lazy pro just grunts at my comment. "I'm going to start bringing an extra bento for you from now on."
"No it's fine, don't waste your time.... How do you even cook anyways?" I ignore his question and pick up a piece of karaage and hold it up to his face.
