Ch 36 - Verification

After Mitsu calmed down a bit, she went into the bedroom to make a couple calls, and soon came out and clapped her hands together. "Alright. We're going on a field trip, everyone get in line." Each adolescent immediately followed Mitsu's instructions, naturally organizing themselves by age. Aizawa, Keigo, and Shinso were a little slower on the uptake, but they got there eventually. They glanced at each other in question, but Kiyoomi snapped at them and whispered, "Just do what she says, she's in her mama bear mode right now."

Squatting in front of the twins, she whispers a set of coordinates to them, and soon a portal appears in front of the line, easily big enough for all of them to walk through. One by one they walk through, and once Aizawa is in, he realizes that Mitsu brought them to Ground Beta.

"Sho, can you take Hajime and Tobio to Recovery Girl?"

"Yeah, sure?" He answers skeptically with his brow raised. Gesturing for the two injured boys to follow, he heads out of the gym and starts leading them towards the main building.

Just before leaving, Hajime calls back to his other siblings and shouts, "We'll come back as soon as possible, just hold out until then!"

Aizawa is even more confused, but the teens run to catch up to him and Tobio frantically says, "We need to run there and run back ASAP. And go as fast as you can, we can keep up, don't worry."

The erasure hero starts sprinting without question, turning back to check on the boys and being pleasantly surprised that they are indeed right on his tail.

"Why did you tell the others to 'hold out until then?'"

Aizawa is even more pleasantly surprised when Hajime, the more injured one, responds in an even voice. They're both in really good shape.

"Whenever something like this happens, Kaa-san tests our ability to defend ourselves. I think she's really on edge right now because we were actually caught this time. Tobio and I are the best fighters out of the siblings, so the fact that we were captured probably rattled her."

Tobio finished the explanation, "We need to get back fast because Mama basically gauges what she thinks is the danger level of our pursuers, and adds 5 levels on top of that, and fights us with no mercy. All things considered, as long as Kiyoomi can touch her it's fine..."

"But?..." Aizawa questions.

"But Kenma and Hitoka are the weakest fighters. And whenever we're in those types of situations I defend Hitoka, while Kenma can usually fend for himself. But since we're not there, Hitoka is probably completely vulnerable, and the others will have a hard time defending her without us. So we need to get back." Hajime finishes, feeling relieved as he notices that they're now approaching the main building.

They zip through the halls and Aizawa slides the infirmary door open, "Apologies Recovery Girl, bu-"

The youthful heroine cuts him off, "I already know why you're here, Shiro-chan called earlier saying that her boys would be here soon, and that they'd probably be in a rush."

Without another word, she goes and quickly places a kiss on each teen. Hajime nearly slumps from the after effects of the rapid healing, but catches himself. They both give Recovery Girl a bow in gratitude, and dash out the door, not even waiting for Aizawa.

He quickly bows to her as well before jumping out the window to catch up to the boys, who he sees have already made it outside the building. They seem hurried and determined, but also kind of excited? Reminds me of how Bakugo looks whenever he wants to test himself against new people.

This family never ceases to amaze me, Aizawa thinks as he realizes he won't be able to catch up with the two teens. They're only a few meters ahead of him, but once they reach the entrance to the gym, they burst through the door and immediately jump into action. Aizawa enters soon after them, and is met with something synonymous to a war zone.
