The strange man is immediately wrapped in Aizawa's capture weapon. "Jayce Logan huh? I heard you were compromised, we have no reason to trust you. Might as well take you to the police station right now for interrogation." Aizawa's eyes are glowing red and his hair floating around him as he speaks with a steely calm voice.

"I believe your lie detector Detective is still here in the building, you're free to have him come to confirm my statements, although..." he turns to Nezu, "I'm sure your principal is fully capable of vouching for me."

"Nezu what is h-..." Aizawa's voice trails off as he looks at his supervisor and friend. Nezu has a bewildered and confused look on his face, one that neither Aizawa nor any of the staff members have ever seen. He's... he looks genuinely shocked. I've never seen him like this, he always, ALWAYS anticipates every possible outcome. So why... why is he so surprised right now?

The gears were rapidly turning in Nezu's genius mind. The missing piece that he had mentioned about the entire situation was standing right in front of him. All the pieces now fit together, revealing the intricate and complex overlapping of the, seemingly unconnected, pieces of the giant puzzle that is Takami Mitsukai's story.

The animal principal strides over to Aizawa and places a paw on his leg, "Aizawa, go find All Might and Tsukauchi."

"With all due respect sir, is it safe to leave you here with him? We don't know where his loyalties lie." The erasure hero asks, never taking his eyes away from the man in front of him.

"Yes, I'm sure. Thank you for your concern Aizawa, but I'll be fine," Nezu then turns to Tsugiyoshi, a peculiar glint in his eyes. "Our record is 6593 to 6592 after all, in my favor of course."

Aizawa furrows his brows in confusion and looks between the two. But he sighs and releases Tsugiyoshi from his restraints, giving the two one last glance before leaving the room to go find the Symbol of Peace and detective.

Once the ravenette was gone, the grey haired man bends down and opens his arms for a hug, which Nezu accepts without hesitation. "I didn't know you survived the explosion..." the white furry bear rat mumbles, still in disbelief that he's in the presence of his old companion.

"I had to make you believe that I died, otherwise you wouldn't have made it out," Tsugiyoshi responds softly.

Right as the two let go of each other, Aizawa returned with the two men he was looking for and they all stared at the newcomer, who began to introduce himself.

"Hello, my name is Tsugiyoshi Sumino, but you probably know me as Jayce Logan," he watches as Tsukauchi and All Might's eyes widen. Aizawa glances at the detective and he almost imperceptibly nods, meaning that he was telling the truth. The grey haired man continues, "I would appreciate it if you all referred to me as Tsugiyoshi Sumino. Just Sumino is fine, I'm very used to being called by my given name since I've been in America for so long."

The first to break the silence is All Might, "So... Sumino-san. How do you know Nezu?"
The principal looks at his grey haired companion who proceeds to give an abbreviated explanation.

Sumino and Nezu are the two surviving subjects of an underground quirk experimentation lab. Said lab was destroyed the day that they had escaped, but Nezu was today years old when he learned that Sumino actually survived.

Nezu continued and explained that all subjects of the facility were culled if they failed too many tests. But he and Sumino were evenly matched, so they were the last two subjects that remained after being at the facility for 5 years, having originally started with 25,000 subjects.

Evenly matched?... The others in the room all had the same train of thought. Is that even possible? Nezu's quirk gives him a significant advantage over every single human being.
