Ch 62 - Homecoming

After Mitsu had calmed down, she and the kids all had a hug and tear filled discussion to clear all the misunderstandings; with Sumino also explaining to all the kids why he and Kiyoomi knew everything would be okay and played along with Mitsu's plan during the Shie Hassaikai assault, so as to help Tobio get closure on everything that happened. Mitsu gave a heartfelt apology to everyone, but especially Tobio, Kiyoomi, and Sumino. She also thanked them from the bottom of her heart as well.

All of the crying and whirlwind of emotions had left Mitsu extremely tired so she went to bed early. Aizawa tucked her in and stroked her hair until she fell asleep before heading off to work his night patrol.

Just as he was arriving to his post, he sees Hizashi and Nemuri clocking out and heading home. Aizawa starts walking towards them, and when they notice him they both wave their hands with gusto and jog over to him.

"ERASERRRRR!!!" Hizashi somehow screamed loud enough to make Aizawa's eardrums burst without using his quirk.

"Shut up you damn cockatoo," the erasure hero scowls and Nemuri gives him a small smile, "How is Shiro-chan? We didn't get to see her today because we had patrol right after school got out, but I've been dying to see her, its been so long. I've heard about some of the... distasteful things that she went through, if she ever has trouble sleeping, you know where to find me."

Aizawa gives her a grateful look and gives her a small nod, "That would be really helpful... I was planning on heading home early tonight to see how she's sleeping through the night. Koushi was able to calm her down and make her sleepy with his quirk, but I know yours allows for a deeper and longer type of sleep."

"Take care of her Shouta, and let her know that we'll always be there for her if she needs," Hizashi says with an uncharacteristically serious face.

The ravenette's mouth forms a straight line as he gives his best friend a nod full with conviction, "I will."

Once it hit 4:30am Aizawa decided to start heading home. Hopefully Mitsu is getting some decent sleep... he thinks to himself.

Soon he's opening the door to his and the Takami family's dorm building and he hears a ruckus coming from the kitchen and he rushes inside, is something happening!?

As he gets closer and closer he can make out who's speaking and what they're saying and he lets out a sigh of relief, at least the bedrooms are soundproof so this wouldn't have woken her up.

Aizawa swings the door open and sees all of Mitsu's kids, including Shinso, running around the kitchen frantically. They're so busy that they haven't even noticed me in here. What time is it even... Aizawa checks his phone and sees that it's 5:30am. Did they even sleep?

"Waitwaitwait- we should put it here!"

"Tobio! It's going to stick to the pan! You need to use butter or oil!"

"Hey you two! You can't keep eating all the chocolate chips, we won't have enough for the pancakes!"

"Ohmygod Kiyoomi, enough with the cleaning! Everything is sanitized! If you keep wiping everything down over and over again the antiseptic smell will overwhelm the food!"

"Toshi, can you mix this batter while I start working on peeling the fruit?"

Tobio is the first to notice Aizawa, and he puts down the pan he was testing their pancake batter on and grabs him by the sleeve, "Get in here dad, we need all the manpower we can get!"

Aizawa's eyebrow quirks up, but when he notices that not a single person had reacted to Tobio calling him 'dad' he simply chuckles to himself. "And to think your mom did this by herself every time, amazing huh?"
