If someone would've told Hayami that she'd became the manager of a volleyball team she wouldn't have believed them.
And there she was.
Becoming a manager, a teammate, a friend, a sister.
But mostly, an ice skater.
A strong one.
A National Star.

Nekoma High, 3rd April, lunchtime
When the last bell of the morning started to ring Hayami noticed how all her classmates immediately ran out of the classroom, probably heading to the cafeteria. Well, everyone except Kenma. He was once again playing with his phone, waiting for his best friend to burst in, scolding him for forgetting his lunch once again.
Meanwhile, Hayami had taken out her bento full of her favorite food. The smell was so good and intriguing that also Kenma's nose twitched a little. He pecked a sight at the girl beside him, seeing her eyes sparkling at the heart-shaped onigiri in her hands. The boy thought that Hayami didn't notice the little stare he was giving to her but he was wrong.
"Kozume-san, do you want a bite?", she kindly asked, smiling and handing him the onigiri. Kenma was surprised by the gentle gesture. No one was ever this kind with him, especially people he just met. Once again he didn't know how to reply so he pretended to not hear and kept playing.
"Kenma, stop playing that damn game and answer to this girl!"
Hayami flinched at the new voice in the classroom, turning her head to the door. Leaning on the doorstep there was a tall boy with the funniest bed hair she had ever seen. His tie was loose and he didn't wear the uniform's blazer, making the white shirt show his muscled body. Kenma noticed how Hayami was looking at Kuroo and rolled his eyes. Tch, just for a moment I thought you were different, he thought, standing up to reach his friend. While he was taking his bag, Hayami started to laugh a little. Both the boys looked at her with questions marks all over their heads.
The girl couldn't stop giggling, "I am so sorry, it's just...wait, let me show you!", she put her bento aside and started to search for something in her bag, "Damn me and my stupid blades", Hayami whispered to herself when she finally caught her phone. She unlocked it and scrolled through her photos, finding what she was searching for. Smiling proudly she showed the picture to the two best friends, who slowly get closer to the screen to have a better view.
"Kenma! This cat looks like you!", Kuroo took the phone in his big hands and placed it near Kenma's face. Kenma sent him a death glaring and look at the photo again. "No, but the black one is totally you", he spoke coldly, regretting having agreed to befriend Kuroo. Kuroo frowned, "It's not true." "It is." "It's not." "It is."
"You look like them and also bicker like them, amusing", Hayami thought out loud, laughing once again. Her laugh was so genuine that Kenma feel ashamed of his previous thought about her. He tried to make up with her – even if Hayami couldn't read his mind so she didn't know about Kenma's thoughts – by snatching her phone out of Kuroo's hand and placing it on her desk. Hayami silently thanked him, bowing her head a little.
He looked at the onigiri and some regrets started to grow inside him. The boy wanted to say yes right now 'cause they looked so tasty. Before someone else could say anything his stomach growled, making him extremely embarrassed. He hid his face with his hair and looked the other way.
