"Oh! This place is huge!"

A few days later, Hayami and her mother had their noses squashed in the car's windows, looking at the Sendai Gymnasium.

"Should I park there?", Daigo removed a hand from the steering wheel, pointing at a parking lot near the teams' buses.

"Yeah, go there, so we'll be close to the boys once they finish!", Hayami was excited.

She promised Shoyo they would come earlier, so they could chat a bit before the game, letting her parents go relax on the stands and get to know Yachi and Tanaka's sister.

"Here we go, girls." Once the car stopped, Hayami fixed her scarf and launched herself outside, breathing the chilly air of the countryside.

"I'll text Shoyo!"

"I don't think you'll need that", Lin was waving at someone behind her daughter, smiling.

Hayami turned, spotting Shoyo already looking for her at the gym's entrance, his hand on his forehead to cover his eyes from the sun, squinting his gaze to be able to see better.

Squealing, she ran between cars, pointing at her prey, "Shoyo!"

That was a voice he could recognize even if the whole world was talking.

"HAYAMI!"

He walked down two steps, while Hayami was skipping them like a rabbit, reaching him before he could take another move, hugging him, squeezing the boy between her arms, and covering his cheek with kisses.

"You're here!"

"Of course, I'm here!", she moved her face to lock eyes with him, "And I'm not the only one!", she nudged at her parents behind her, who were approaching them with more patience.

"No way!", Shoyo had the pleasure to talk on the phone with Hayami's parents lots of times during their daily conversation, "You guys are here to watch us too?"

"Obviously, honey!", Lin was a sweet woman, who always invited Shoyo to come for dinner or the night, "How are you? Nervous?", she grabbed his warm hands, squeezing them.

Hayami had the same exact smile.

"A bit! Today we must beat the Great King!", Hinata was talking about the strong Aoba Johsai captain, Oikawa Tōru.

"You can do it, kid," Daigo gave him a solid pat on his back, grinning, "you're great too on the court, aren't you? That penguin here always tells us how much you're cool when you jump."

Daigo was a strong man with lots of love to give, who carefully distribute it between his wife and daughter, and Shoyo felt incredibly lucky when he wrote his name on a small piece of his heart, starting to treat him like his own child too.

"I'll show you how cool we are!", Shoyo's eyes were shimmering, happy to have his second family there, "Let's go, let's go!"

He made the house's honors, indicating the adults where the stands were and accompanying Hayami to greet the rest of the team, who was about to enter the principal's doors.
