Before they could have fun at the training camp, there were still the preliminaries to do, and Hayami had clearly forgotten to tell Usagi their schedule for that week.

"Alright, it's fine, 'cause they're only two days, but," the coach wanted to be clear, "this cannot happen again. You're a National athlete, Hayami. Just because your games haven't started already doesn't mean they're far away. Right after the camp, you'll go and compete for your future. Do you want to go to the Olympics or not?"

"Yes ma'am!"

"Then pay more attention and don't forget why we are here. Why you are here!"

"I'm sorry", she knew that kind of mistake wasn't something she could do.

She must've been better than that, programming both her sports for the best.

So, in the first round of the preliminaries, she was in a bad mood, and the whole team could tell.

She didn't even try to hide it, maintaining her focus on giving some strict advice and listening carefully to Nekomata.

On the bus, she went for a seat in the front rows, knowing the boys would opt for some in the back, wanting to put some distance between them and herself, needing some alone time to work on her calendar.

Kuroo tried to welcome her that morning with his usual cheerfulness, but that didn't help, and neither Yamamoto's jokes nor Yaku's kindness.

Nothing snapped her out of that cold stance.

The only one who didn't try was Kenma, who accepted her behavior calmly and was not surprised at all.

"How can you be so...unfazed?!", Kuroo asked him, dropping his bag near the boy, "Hayami never been like this before."

"Not with us," Kenma corrected him, "we don't know her that well to know how she acts when she's upset. Guess the silence treatment and the alone time are the answer."

"Alright, great analysis," Yaku was behind them, sat next to Kai, "but why she's upset? Do you know something we don't? Aren't you concerned?"

Yes, yes he was worried about her.

But what could he do to make her feel better?

"No, I don't know what happened, but I think there's something we can do to try and cheer her up."

The boys came closer to Kenma, heads sticking off everywhere around him, but his eyes were staring at the back of her blue hair.

"We must win this game."

"The boys are pumped up today," Naoi smirked, clapping his hands one more time at his guys scoring another point, "two more and we can call it a day!"

"Agree," Nekomata was on his chair, looking up to his left where a seemingly relaxed Hayami was standing, her lips almost curled up, "they have a goal in their minds."
