If someone would've told Hayami that she'd became the manager of a volleyball team she wouldn't have believed them.
And there she was.
Becoming a manager, a teammate, a friend, a sister.
But mostly, an ice skater.
A strong one.
A National Star.
She...

'Hello, Hayami! Hope you don't find this strange or creepy, but Sugawara-senpai told me your nickname and I followed you immediately! I just wanted to thank you for being so nice to me at the camp! I searched for some videos of you skating online! SO COOL! YOU LOOK LIKE A BUTTERFLY! Next time we'll see each other, I want you to teach me how to skate like you!'
On Monday, Kenma read Shoyo's text that Hayami had shown him.
The young Karasuno middle blocker also found his profile, sending him a funny video about a cat and a long, rambling message.
"He's nice, isn't he?"
"I guess", he handled her phone, feeling her fingers briefly touching his while taking it back.
He noticed how long their conversation was the previous days and he mentally signed to text Shoyo too, to learn more about his social skills.
"I packed some extra meat buns for lunch, want some?", their previous conversation already drifted in another direction.
"There're still two hours before lunch."
"Is that a 'yes'?"
"Yeah, thank you."
"I made them with lots of love!"
"And the right ingredients too, I hope."
"Huh? Don't you believe in my magic hands?", she wiggled all her ten fingers in front of his nose.
"I do," he moved one away to take a better look at her, "sometimes."
"Can't believe what I'm hearing," she sat straight on her chair, "I'm so generous, and here's what I get in return!"
"You're exaggerating."
"Maybe," her hair was up in a ponytail, leaving the shortest strands to fall graciously on her face, where a wide smirk had appeared, "I also have something else for you!"
"I have food at home, y'know?", he tried to play it cool, but was burning with curiosity.
Hayami rolled her eyes, taking out her pen when the professor made his way into the classroom, "Just say 'thank you' and leave me to do the rest."
Kenma smiled, not giving her the satisfaction of an answer.
Thank you, Yami.
"Huh?", Kenma's eyebrows narrowed, "Why after practice?"
"Because I say so."
He pouted, wanting the thing she promised him that morning, "Yeah."
"Don't be upset!", she pushed him from the back, forcing him to walk faster toward the gym, "It'll be worth it!"
"Better be."
Hayami and Kenma spent their morning between classes and the lunch break with the boys, where they recalled some of their favorite moments of the transfer and showed funny photos and videos they took of each other.
