If someone would've told Hayami that she'd became the manager of a volleyball team she wouldn't have believed them.
And there she was.
Becoming a manager, a teammate, a friend, a sister.
But mostly, an ice skater.
A strong one.
A National Star.
She...

Nekoma High, 3rd April, afternoon
The boys were all sweaty and stinky when the practice finally ended. Hayami helped them by handing out towels, water bottles, and encouraging words.
"You guys are amazing! You weren't talking big at lunch!", she joked with Kuroo. He sat down on the floor and smiled, drying his forehead with his shirt. Hayami raised a brow. Why didn't he use the towel?
"Told ya'!", he replied, looking up at her, "Hope you had fun with the coach."
She nodded, placing a towel on Kenma's head, who was too busy trying to catch his breath. He was sitting on the bench, his hair humid and drained out. The boy didn't even flinch, adjusting the towel with his hands so it could cover his head. Hayami sat down next to Kai, fixing her skirt to avoid embarrassing accidents.
"Yeah, didn't know I was applying for a job, to be honest," she started, looking at them with a big smile, "apparently I could be your manager when my schedule would allow me, if it's fine for you guys!", she announced.
The team was so shocked that she thought they weren't happy about the news. She was about to tell them that it was a joke and she wasn't serious but Yaku talked first.
"Really? That would be so cool! Yukimura-chan, we could have so much fun, please think about it!", he patted her shoulder, smiling. After that, everyone started to go to her and gave her some high fives, some polite bows, and big smiles, encouraging her to accept coach's offer. Kuroo was the last one - well if we don't count Kenma, who was still on the bench.
He helped her stand and placed both his hands on her shoulders, "That would be a great thing, Yukimura! I was surprised - no, I am surprised! We never found a manager and then you appeared!» Kuroo squeezed her shoulders, "I know it's sudden but it's the best thing if a manager is with the team since the start of the championship, you know?"
She didn't understand the manager job yet, but she wanted to learn, she was willing to help the boys, "In two days I'll give you my final answer, let me check my practice days first!"
He patted her back and grinned, "Of course, of course!", he turned to Kenma, assuming a disappointed expression, "Did you hear that, Knema? Yukimura could be our new manager!"
Kenma sniffed, taking the towel away from his head. He heard that, of course, but he didn't know how to process this information. He wasn't mad or sad or happy; he didn't care about her new position in the team. That implied he had to see her also after classes and that was okay with him. Maybe she could help him with other video games.
"Yeah", he said, no emotion spilling out. Kuroo ruffled his best friend's hair, making him complain a little, standing up just to put some distance between them. Kenma hated when someone touches his hair, especially after practice when they were dirty. But another hand reached some locks before he could do anything.
