Nekoma High, 5th April
"Hey Yuki!", Yaku called her, waving his arms at her, "Have a nice first practice!"
"Good luck, Yukimura!", Yamamoto was jumping up and down, flashing her a big toothie smile.
"See you soon, future manager!", Kai and Lev were waving at her too, while she was already at the school gates.
She waved back, "Thank you, guys!"
"Don't trip, Snow White!", Kuroo send her a thumbs up, smirking.
Hayami shook her head, "Don't worry, I skate better than I walk!"
"Still not sure about that," he blabbed, patting Kai and Yaku's back, "let's go before the coach punishes us all."
They gave her another round of waves and left, only Kenma was still standing behind. That day Hayami talked to him with nonchalant, while he replied with dry answers, but she never changed her tone nor stopped despite his behavior.
He was glad about that.
She told him she was nervous for the upcoming practice. He replied with a serious 'Don't worry', and that was the end of their conversation until lunch.
She ate with them.
It was okay for him.
Hayami was nice and they all like her, despite being only three days since she stepped in their lives.
He was curious about the girl. She was intriguing, like a puzzle game. A pretty simple image but with thousands of different pieces.
"Kenma! Move your ass, jeez!", Kuroo took him back to Earth shouting his name and he quickly snapped.
"Bye, Kenma!", Hayami winked and twirled on her blades.
Kenma could only lift his hand, "Bye", he whispered, watching her slake away in the street. So fearless, so elegant.
"Take a damn picture, it last longer", Kuroo was back at his side and grabbed his backpack, dragging him to the gym.
"I wasn't staring", he defended himself, letting his best friend do the hard work.
"You absolutely were!", he patted his shoulder, "Listen, if you like Yukimura..."
"I don't like Hayami."
"...it was just an hypothesis."
