If someone would've told Hayami that she'd became the manager of a volleyball team she wouldn't have believed them.
And there she was.
Becoming a manager, a teammate, a friend, a sister.
But mostly, an ice skater.
A strong one.
A National Star.
She...

Hayami regretted her bet with Kuroo the moment she stepped on the court, taking note of how tall the net was.
"You still sure about it?"
Nekomata sensed something was up during all practice; the girl was more focused than ever and also asked the coaches more technical questions, studying the ambient.
And that was why.
It was a silly bet between her and the volleyball team captain.
Three spikes in a raw.
That was impossible.
One would be a real miracle.
The net was set to taller people, and she wasn't trained at all to jump that high.
But obviously, she wasn't willing to give up.
"Sure", she tossed her jumper to Lev, who took it, to avoid it falling on the dirty ground.
"Alright, choose your setter", Kuroo smiled, placing his hands on his hips, watching from the opposite side of the court.
Hayami looked at Teshiro, thinking about selecting him.
He was less involved in that stupid fight between her and Kuroo, and also calmer around her.
But still, Kenma was a better analyzer. He could've helped her better.
The blonde one could hear her thoughts loud and clear and tried to hide more under his towel.
"Kenma!", she called him, looking at him with her big bi-colored eyes, "I know I'm asking a lot, but please!"
Sighing, he stood up, surprising all his friends, and walked under the net, towards Hayami.
Both coaches were seated at their desks, curious about Hayami's debut in volleyball.
One month being their manager, she knew she had to launch the ball to Kenma and leave him to do his magic. She just had to jump and hit.
Easy.
The last time she played volleyball was at the beach with her old elementary school friends. It was so hard, and she kept falling on the sand, eating lots of it.
But she had fun, she clearly remembered that. Never stepped in a court again, though.
"Your time to shine", Kuroo felt the victory already in his pocket, and the boys were on his side too.
That was an unfair bet, but still, she accepted it, blinded by her desire to win.
She was aware of it.
Kenma was too.
"Alright," she broke down in a laugh, "time to lose my dignity, I guess."
