If someone would've told Hayami that she'd became the manager of a volleyball team she wouldn't have believed them.
And there she was.
Becoming a manager, a teammate, a friend, a sister.
But mostly, an ice skater.
A strong one.
A National Star.
She...

Hayami and Kuroo went to the main hall, where the rest of the team was waiting. Fukunaga, Shibayama, and Inuoka were trying to cheer up Lev. The boy was depressingly sitting on a bench, his long legs occupying half of the pavement, arms hugging his chest, and head low.
"Oh, baby...", Hayami ran up to him, crunching down and patting his thigh, "...honey, come on. It's not over yet."
Kuroo came up to them, watching Lev from above.
"I...", the first year sniffed, "I'm gonna score lots and lots more points. Roof lots more hitters...", he was clenching his fist with so much strength that Hayami was scared going to going to break some bones, "...and be a player the whole crowd squees and cheers for!", he slammed down the fist on the leg Hayami wasn't touching.
Kuroo smirked, "Y'know? I can't say I don't like that straight-forward and honestly stupid side of you," he was calm, hands on his jacket's pocket, "and yeah scoring lots of points and roofing lots of guys feel good and looks cool but..."
"Forget scoring, first focus on not whiffing so much...", Kenma added from behind Kuroo, sending Lev a deadly glare.
"Kenma!", Hayami scolded him, watching him shrug like he said nothing.
"Nekoma is a team built on teamwork. I know that. I'm trying not to stick out so much that I wreck that balance and stuff..." "Oho! So you did remember to think about that, huh?", Kuroo sighed, looking up, "Yeah, teamwork's important. But teams are complicated, y'know? There are multiple people with different personalities and quirks. Getting them to all work in harmony is harder than it's sounds," he peered at the boys sitting in a corner, all sharing some snacks, "now it's not like anyone here is saying 'the nail that sticks out gets hammered down', it's more like...how to say this?", he thought about it for a second before the right words came to him, "See, there's this moment when the whole teamwork thing finally clicks with you. And when that moment hits, I think you'll feel a lot better."
Hayami smiled at Lev's relieved face and stood up, patting his head, "Well, my words would be nothing compared to what your captain just said," she smacked her palm on Kuroo's chest, making him grunt, "good work my boy, you're wise."
"Fuck you," he breathed out, "go and find your boyfriend, and don't hit me anymore, you're violent!"
"He's not my boyfriend!", but her eyes started searching for him anyway, not ending on any blonde head, "Where the hell he went?! He was there a moment ago!"
"Can you retrieve it? When the girls finish this it's our turn again", he pointed at the last match happening in the gym.
"I'll go get him, whenever he is", she kissed the top of Lev's head and squeezed Kuroo's forearm, receiving an ear-pull in return.
"Yeah, go, pretty one."
Hayami passed the boys, almost tripping on Yaku who played a prank on her, laughing it off with Fukunaga.
