Hayami snuggled on the not-so-soft pillow under her cheek, pressing her nose deeper into the soft fabric. She slept like a rock, but now her back was starting to hurt, and her spine twisted in an unnatural position.

"Stop moving."

"Stop talking."

Hearing his voice made her mind go back to the night before.

Yaku sighed, his nose sunk into her hair, "I said two words", he groggily replied, wanting to go back to the previous slumber.

"Now six", of course, she had to make it quite clear.

"I hear voices", Lin stepped into the living room, sliding her slippers on the floor, trying to avoid making loud noises, and peeking at the duo on the couch.

From the blinds a small creak of light was entering the room, hitting right above Yaku's head, while the rest was still in the darkness, letting the teenagers sleep peacefully.

It was Saturday, so no school and no practice, they could have the morning all for themselves if they wanted, and her parents weren't the ones to destroy their bubble.

When they came back home the night before, they found Hayami and Yaku already dead asleep on the couch, none of them to move from each other's arms.

They left them there, chuckling all the way to their room after noticing the drool slipping down their daughter's lips on her unfortunate friend.

"Hello", Hayami raised just her right arm, waving at her mom, hiding more on Yaku, her head searching for protection under his armpit.

"Morning", he mumbled, letting Hayami slide whenever she wanted, not expecting that cat-like side of her.

That was an old habit of hers; since she was a kid, she loved sleeping in her parents' bed, cuddled by her momatn the night, and desperate for a hiding spot in her dad's arms in the morning. He was a light sleeper and was up really early every day, so he pretended to be still asleep to let his kiddo drool on him at any hour, smiling until her stomach reclaimed food and she woke up to have breakfast.

"I made something to eat," Lin told them, sipping a bit of her coffee, "feel free to stay as long as you want, Morisuke."

He fought the urge to yawn, opening one eye at a time, "Thank you so much, Yukimura-san."

"Just Lin."

"Lin", he corrected himself, looking down at Hayami, who seemed still in dreamland.

"She does this when she's very relaxed," Lin explained, smiling at him, "I must thank you. I think she couldn't find better friends than you boys."

He plopped on an elbow, "You Yukimuras really need to stop thanking us."

Lin shrugged, "Well, the apple doesn't fall far from the tree, honey."
