"Morning, girl."

"HELLO YUKIMURA! ARE YOU EXCITED?!"

Kuroo narrowed his eyes when he saw her opening the door, "Put a scarf on!"

"Don't need it!", Hayami was zipping up her combat boots, hopping outside the door, "And yes! I'm so excited, Tora! What about you? Ready?"

"Yes! I barely slept last night!" he offered her a hand to help her come out, waving at her dad, who was passing by. "Good morning!"

"Hello, Yamamoto," Daicho peered over the crack of the door, "Kuroo", he sent him a military salute, to which Kuroo quickly replied.

"Hi, boys!", her mom's head peeked out the kitchen, "You already eat? Want some scrambled eggs?"

"We already had breakfast," Kuroo's charming smile appeared on his lips, "but thank you."

"You're welcome, Tetsurō," the woman shook her head at the boy's cute appearance, "and don't give me that smile, I won't let you grab more of the cake I baked!"

The fact that they became a family in so little time was the most beautiful thing for Hayami, who never thought that could ever happen.

"Huh! I wasn't trying to do anything!", he defended himself, taking out his white scarf and waving it to surrender.

"Sure, kid," she assisted at Kuroo forcing her daughter to wear his scarf, fixing it around her neck and freeing all her hair in the process, "well, have fun. Don't get bitten, please. And don't lose any dog."

"Hey, we're responsible!", Hayami waved at her, "See you for lunch! You'll eat with us?", she asked the boys, tapping on their chests.

"If you insist!", Kuroo grinned, feeling Hayami's arms circling his waist, finding their way under his jacket to hug him tight.

"Sure, thanks!", Yamamoto blushed, happy she asked them to stay.

He wasn't used to hanging out with Hayami as much as Kuroo, Kenma, Yaku and Fukunaga were, so for him it was all new.

"Yey!", she stretched out a hand, high-fiving the ace and smiling.

"Perfect! Udon made by my lovely hands with veggies, and I think I have some tuna. Grilled is fine?"

"It's a lot, you don't have to..."

"GRILLED TUNA AND UDON, LET'S GO!", Yamamoto and Hayami were too loud for Kuroo's ears, and the captain decided it was time to leave.

"Okay, thanks miss. Yukimura, see you later", he slapped his right hand on Hayami's mouth and grabbed Yamamoto's collar to drag him away.

"Bye-bye! Send photos, okay, baby?"

Hayami just sent her a thumbs up, feeling Kuroo pulling her out the door and closing it behind her back.

"I won't scream anymore!", she promised and Kuroo trusted her enough to let her go, not too far though, 'cause she was hiding inside his open jacket, the arm of the boy rested on her shoulders.
