Hayami checked her bags one last time, making sure everything was inside.
Blades, rollers just in case, training clothes, normal ones and her manager uniform, all her hygiene stuff, homework, her console, hoping that Kenma would brough his too, and her wallet. Water bottle, spare towels, leg warmers and bandages were on the skate's bag.
Satisfied, she hummed and closed all the zippers, putting everything on her shoulders and making her way downstairs.
"Good morning, honey!", her mom greeted her in the kitchen, "Ready for your trip?"
Sitting down at the table, Hayami took a big sip of her oats and coconut's milk, nodding, "Yes, ma'am!"
A delicate hand passed through her long dark hair, massaging her scalp, "I'm glad you found such nice friends, Yami."
"Same mom," she let her mother cuddle her for a moment that seemed infinite, "same."
"They're about to come and get you?", her father entered in the room, kissing his wife's cheek and his daughter's hair.
Hayami nodded, stuffing her mouth with a big portion of porridge with yogurt and fresh fruits, "Yeah! Kuroo's big sister was so kind to offer me and Kenma a lift to school!"
"We could've accompanied you too, you know?", her dad sipped his coffee, smiling.
"I know! I live pretty far from them too, but she insisted!"
Her mom giggled, "Bet she's happy her brother is finally around a girl and wants to meet you!"
"Mom!", Hayami kept eating, rolling her eyes, "Kuroo is just a friend, c'mon!"
"And what about Kozume?", his father was always the observer one.
Hayami shook her head, finishing her breakfast, "Not you too, dad!"
A loud honk scared the family, and they fast ran to the kitchen's window, looking outside.
A car was parked outside their garden, with Kuroo's body half out of the passenger seat, waving at her. Behind the steering wheel was a beautiful girl with long, black, messy hair and the exact same smile as the captain.
"Good morning!", she waved at the unknown family.
The trio exchanged a look before returning the gesture, chuckling.
"The neighbors gonna hate us after today", her dad joked, pulling his wife away from the window.
"We'll go say hello, wash your teeth!", her mom pushed Hayami toward the bathroom, while her father lifted her bags, ready to put them in the old car.
Hayami ran, using her mother's toothbrush, 'cause she already packed hers, trying to be fast.
She didn't want to make the boys late.
